    Hi,

Do I have to download this new installation file or will my AVS automatically update to this new version?

    Thanks in advance

I was having problems with the updates, throwing up error messages, so I've now gone back to the old version 6.0.0.308

    Just add the entry:
    Code:
    127.0.0.1 download.newaol.com

to your c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts file, and then AOL will use kaspersky servers for updates.. No errors then! :D

I hope this aint against the TOS, if it is, mods may remove it :)

    You said it!

The GIF shows the fragmentation after a first initial scan; not much fragmentation and what there is showing that KAV is building up its report store.

BUT just IChecker enabled here, not ISwift.

I also have the same problem but figured out how to solve it..

Just open Active Virus Shield go to settings thereafter click on update then click "configure" uncheck "Use proxy server".

    fragmentation happerns.
the worst fragmentation when i check diskeeper is normaly system restore.
but it isnt so bad since i told system restore to only use 5percent of the disc rather than 10percent.

Thanks, that's sorted it, but now I get 'threat signatures out of date' despite it saying 'update not required' when I try to update. o_O

That's fixed it. Now up to date. :D
