Hmmm, could still be a bug in Hitman Pro.

Could you delete the current Opera installer and download the installer again and then scan with Hitman Pro? Does it get flagged as Suspicious again?

Re: Anyone tried out Hitman Pro?

First time I tried Hitman tonight and it hit just about everything I've thrown at it except the c.exe and msa.exe dropped by an install52010.exe - Result: 5/41 (12.20%).

They were uploaded to cloud or at least seemed to be. Had another sample that dropped the same named exes that were hit but these ones must be new morphed versions?

Still very impressive results so far.

Re: Anyone tried out Hitman Pro?

No it isn't the eee.exe you sent me.

@erikloman, yes Hitman hits the c.exe and msa.exe that install52010.exe was dropping yesterday.

Unfortunately it's downloading morphed versions today which aren't hit?

Re: Anyone tried out Hitman Pro?

Actually, the problem with the mentioned files is not really related to Hitman Pro itself. Take a look at the picture. Hitman Pro is running in Early Warning Scoring (EWS) mode to show potential zero-day malware that are not yet identified in the cloud (hence the blue shields). Note that files c.exe and msa.exe are rated 18.0 or higher by the behavioral engine of Hitman Pro. These scores are extremely high to be legitimate files.
I've uploaded one of the files to VirusTotal as well and none of the AV scanners of our partners there identified it either (as expected).

So despite the amount of scan technologies in our Scan Cloud, 7 different AV scanners are still not enough ;)
But the unknown files are automatically detected in a few hours (when our partners become aware and finished writing signatures for them).

Edit: removed the VirusTotal.png attachment due to TOS.

That certainly looks like a bug. Can you reproduce it by running Hitman Pro again and having the same result?

    Release History
    Build 82 (2009-12-21)

    * Fixed a problem reading data from encrypted hard drives.
    * Early Warning Scoring (EWS) is no longer on the Settings screen. Also, it is no longer remembered as a default scan. It now needs to be selected manually from the new split button "Next" on the Welcome screen. Note that EWS is not meant to run on a daily basis. It is intended for experts only as it potentially lists non-malware files. EWS can also be used when the Internet connection is disabled or unavailable.

    Build 83

We released Build 83 today which addresses the above mentioned blank result screen (thanks nikanthpromod). We also fixed a problem in which Hitman Pro incorrectly determined the internet connection state when the computer is using a proxy. This became apparent due to the EWS change in the previous build.

Also Hitman Pro is currently incompatible with Rollback Rx as this software is serving the operating system a different view of the hard disk than it is actually holding.

We found another 'blank result screen' scenario which will be addressed in the next build.

    Re: Build 83

EAZ solutions and Horizon Datasys are sister companies:)
    Both products are same.
So Hitman pro should be incompatible with Eazfix too.:doubt:
