I will see if we can add an ignore function on these repair items in the next build.

That would be nice. Also wondering, do you recommend disabling Prevx real-time protection when scanning with your program? Or any other resident security applications, for that matter?

You can keep all residents security enabled as Hitman Pro does not conflict with other AV software. Though disabling the resident AV might further increase the scan speed of Hitman Pro... But since it is already fast, no point in disabling it.

    Hi Erik,
The last time i have tested Hitman Pro i could not use it because i was behind a company Proxy, which was the only way to the Internet.

So as soon Hitman Pro can connect to the Internet via a webproxy (username/password) i will purchase a version :)

Or has the latest version settings for this?

Yes that is a good Idea and I find your pricing very reasonable as I have 4 licenses for myself and family members! :thumb:

Re: Anyone tried out Hitman Pro?

Yesterday i used Hitman pro 3.5.4 in an infected pc and scanned. It couldn't find any malware. I opened task manager and found 3 malwares running( a.exe, b.exe and mse.exe) , But himan pro couldnt detect those and detected opera installer as suspicious. I then checked that pc with MBAM it found 15 trojans:eek:.
Why Hitman pro couldnt detect those malwares??

That is really interesting. Perhaps internet problems? Did you had EWS enabled? Suspicious is just suspicious and not a malicious classification (its not an FP, it just finds it suspicious).

There's your answer then, none of the HMP AV partners engines detected those files so it wouldn't flag them up.

Hitman pro includes Heuristics . So it can detect those with heuristics but didnt.
No Av partners detected opera installer, but hitman did with heuristics.

Re: Anyone tried out Hitman Pro?

Did you have EWS (Early Warning Scoring) enabled?

Also the Suspicious classification on a non-malware file does not mean it is an FP. Suspicious means just as that: Suspicious. It is not a Malware classification.
In order for a file to be suspicious it internally scores >= 22 points. This is a very huge value for an installer file that just sits in a folder. Was the installer running? Or does the installer automatically run at each boot? :doubt:

Re: Anyone tried out Hitman Pro?

Ah "Scan with Hitman Pro". This feature does not use heuristics. It is just a plain cloud consulting scan. The Suspicious classification should not appear during this Right-click scan.

I just downloaded Opera_1010_in_Setup.exe and performed Scan with Hitman Pro but Suspicious does not appear.

I will PM to investigate this further.

Re: Anyone tried out Hitman Pro?

Doh. My bad. But I still cannot trigger the Suspicious though.

I see that the Opera setup file is Digitally Signed. I suspect your download is incomplete and Hitman Pro is triggering on the invalid signature (due to incomplete download).

Can you expand the Suspicious item in the scan results list view? It should provide more information on why the file is Suspicious.

Now that opera installer is not detected as suspicious.:D
3days ago opera installer and autorun.exe of rollback rx were flagged as suspicious. I reported those files as safe.
i expanded those and saw that files include lot of malicious some thing..
