Nice to hear this good news.

I would send a PM to tell you which vendors(for my situation).

You can enable all engines if you think it will lower the detection rates. It should be a optional choice for users.

I don't know whether Hitman will include more scanners or not. But different AVs in different environment(e.g. apps) will have different results. Avira and GDATA have more FPs in your system, it doesn't mean these also happen in my system or everyone's system. That's why I am thinking a custom engines selection.;)

HP and Sandboxie 64 bit make for a very strong but light combination.:thumb:

    Only using these two now?
    Sounds fast indeed

Hitman Pro contains Prevx and A2 as well: The detection should be great but you will get several FP - take care :doubt:

The free version doesn't remove threats ...

Erik says that in a build soon, you will be able to choose which scanners you want to use. I think that will rectify the FP issue in my viewpoint.

You must have used the free trial license previously then, right?

    erikloman,

The "right-click scan" function does not support for sub-directories scanning, I hope Hitman Pro will support this asap.:D

Re: Anyone tried out Hitman Pro?

    hello guys,

ive been taking a little look at this product, but why does it not have a 2-pc licence, i dont want to pay for 3 when i only own 2 pcs.

ok, im completely satisfied with Prevx and SafeOnline and its kept me safe for many years, however.... i think its nice to have an on-demand only scanner available for a 'just-in-case' type of situation, its not something i shall be running daily, more like fortnightly.

so i aint sure if its worth the purchase as i wont be using it much, but i understand its good for a safenet?

although - Prevx has 'Never' let me down, so im confused.

in a way, i think its nice to have that safenet, as its on-demand only and doesnt use any resources or processes when not in use.

and on the other, dont want to pay for 3pcs when i have only 2, and how much will i actually use it? as Prevx has never let me down and im completely happy with them.

    o_O o_O o_O

You could always just use it as a free second-opinion till it's really needed to save the PC in question, then take advantage of the trial license key which lasts for a while. ;)

Question for the devs.: now that EWS is "separate", does HP still consult the engines during a EWS scan if an Internet connection is available?

Re: Anyone tried out Hitman Pro?

    lol, i could.

but, im a little OCD with the fact i dont like keeping any 'trials' on my machine, i like to either ditch it or buy it.

its gonna take some real thinking from me i think, whether i need it.

ive not needed anything extra for years with prevx, but there is always a 'what if...'

    :argh:

btw: does the stupid advertisements about their other product get removed if using a purchased license?

Yes, EWS is also consulting the cloud if an Internet Connection is available.

An installed exe killing rogue is still a problem.

Each of the below apps will get rid of the rogue if it can install/run.

Why is there a 10 second wait after each scan before you can close the window? There didn't used to be?
