Yes: Major, Minor, and "nothing" (for now)
This is not about being a major or minor update, it has to do more with versioning.
Major.Minor.Path versioning: https://semver.org/

 

In that case Patch makes perfect sense

 

@Tigzy looks like the check box also needs a dummy for Community entries as eye candy

 

We can make it non-checkable, not sure that makes sense

 

As long as it lines up nicely I guess whatever the easiest is to implement

Can you give a few examples where UCheck has stopped detecting available updates for apps that are not classified as Community apps?

UCheck still seems to be finding available updates for Compatible and Winget apps installed on my system. For example, UCheck is correctly reporting the latest version of my MS Edge browser is v135.0.3179.98 (rel. 24-Apr-2025). NOTE: I have excluded scanning of all UWP / Microsoft Store apps in the hidden C:\Program Files\WindowsApps folder in my UCheck settings at History & Settings | Exclusions.



UCheck is currently failing to detect the latest available update for my HWMonitor Portable v1.5.7 app (rel. 22-Apr-2025), but this is a Community app, and it's not unusual for UCheck to take several days (or more than a week in some instances) to detect an available update for many of my Community apps that I suspect aren't commonly used in the wider UCheck community.

I think there is some confusion here, the Twitter/X update bot (@UCheckBot) stopped tweeting updates on the 24st of April.
Ucheck works fine

 

Yes it was, sorry for this. Now fixed.
For some reason, Twitter removes the bot from the containing app when they do API updates... They don't seem to care much, or it's intentional to kick out bots that are not maintained.

 

Good news for BleachBit for Windows Portable users.

Developer Andrew Ziem has added the Company Name and other missing file properties to the bleachbit.exe and bleachbit_console.exe executables (see https://github.com/bleachbit/bleachbit/issues/1629) and UCheck is now detecting the latest BleachBit Portable v5.0.0 (rel. 02-May-2025). My latest scan and debug logs are attached.

Kudos to Andrew for the fix.

Once again, I failed to notice the update notification in my UCheck Free v6.2.2.0 interface, and hope the black text for update notifications will eventually be changed to a bright red or orange font. Ironically, I only realized that a new UCheck Free v6.3.0.0 was available for download because it was detected by QuickInstaller.
