    It's the generic hiding that's causing that message.
    Depending on how you want to fix this:-
    • Simple Rule, but you may receive blank spaces,white boxes,etc.(basically cosmetic filtering will be turned off for this site):-
    Code:
    @@||bournemouthecho.co.uk^$generichide

    • But if you want to remove those empty spaces then use the following codes:-
    Code:
    bournemouthecho.co.uk##.side-ad
    bournemouthecho.co.uk##.promoted-block
    bournemouthecho.co.uk##.dfp-ad
    bournemouthecho.co.uk##.cta-component-full-width
    bournemouthecho.co.uk##.advert-leaderboard
    bournemouthecho.co.uk##.advert-container
    bournemouthecho.co.uk###cookieWarningR
    bournemouthecho.co.uk###DFP_top_leaderboard
    bournemouthecho.co.uk###DFP_in_article_mpu
    @@||bournemouthecho.co.uk^$generichide

    Based on the filter lists subscribed, it is possible you have a couple of those rules already in them. But since you didn't mention the filter list you are subscribed to, you'll have to figure that out yourself.

    Many thanks, working perfectly...I have the default rules along with MVPS hosts plus Fanboys annoyance and social blocking list.

    If you are concerned about adblocking retaliation from specific Web Advertising Companies you might want to add this to your Custom Filters...

    Edit Update: This original link contains a formatting error (uBO)...

    https://ssl.bblck.me/BarbBlock.txt

    Use the link below for uBO instead ...

    https://ssl.bblck.me/blacklists/ublock-origin.txt

    I added it today. EasyList had to remove a website due to a DCMA compliance complaint. They were being threatened with a law suit. There are other filter providers on uBO that have not been threatened (yet), but it is likely that they will be threatened in the future. They will more than likely have to remove the websites from their blacklist to avoid litigation. Just add the text that blocks these ad fascists and backup your UbO settings. It is unlikely that they can go after individuals using custom lists.

    Kudos to Ghacks for bringing this to our attention.

    Noob question. I recently started to use uBlock Origin in the Pale Moon browser. I'm looking for help with the following entry (and others like it) in the uBO Dashboard:

    uBlock EasyList.jpg

    The (fairly obvious) question is: how do I get that "192 used out of 74,799", up to 74,799 out of 74,799? I've tried the updating mechanisms but the number only inches up -- before the most recent manual update, that was at 189 out of 74,799.

    No doubt someone has asked this before, but I'm not sure what search term to use that wouldn't yield hundreds of results to wade through.

    BTW there are other lists in the 3rd-party filters tab that show similar tiny "used out of" ratios, so the question/answer need not be limited to EasyList specifically.

    Thanks.

    Latest version is not compatible with FF ESR. I had to reinstall an older version and turn off updates. :thumbd:

    Pretty disappointing that all my custom filters were removed and all settings returned to default x 3 machines x Firefox + Cyberfox = :mad: Krusty.

    To restore your settings:
    * install v1.13.8: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/downloads/file/685614/ublock_origin-1.13.8-an+fx+sm+tb.xpi
    * now you have access to your "old" settings (it works... self-tested)
    * maybe it is a good idea to backup all settings/custom filter, etc. now.
    * Upgrade to v14.4.0 + import settings / or stay on v1.13.8

    Don't you have a backup of your uB0 settings which you can import?

    Yes I do have a backup, but I still had to restore from that backup in both FF and CF on three machines. Believe it or not I have better things to do with my time.

    I'm not quite sure that I understand :cautious: I was talking about a backup file created from within uB0 which can be restored in about 5 seconds or so.

    Just block (=red) facebook.com and fbcdn.net in the global column of Dynamic Filtering and save those rules with the padlock. And if you're a facebook user you have to create noop rules (=grey) for those domains in the local column while you're on facebook.com (allow rules (=green) should not be necessary, and with noop rules the rules from the built-in filterlists are still triggered and filter stuff). It's that easy. Rasheed, this has been discussed over and over again here - you should really start to read some of uB0's documentation. ;)
