@stapp Sorry, but that needs an answer still...

@Sandboxer On the contrary, the tech comps might have faults, but as much as any forum, or before that BBS/ mailboxes. They have the right to moderate according to their regulations, that is not what I meant.
The point is, if you open your voice in twitter or Facebook or this forum or any other public available place. What you put there is out, it is public, you cannot protect, so there is of course also no privacy or security. But you can scramble the origin or prevent other data to flow out. More you need to ask with another topic in the forum!!

@stapp Hope this was still OK. :ninja:

Ok, thanks, but what exactly do you mean by that? We probably just misunderstood each other.

That both browsers work together in a sandbox is correct and also works for me. However, Edge Chromium triggers the message SBIE2101 again, which of course can also be simply ignored.

I just wanted to let DavidXanatos know that the SBIE2101 message can still be triggered under certain conditions.

FWIW ~ I'm not seeing nor ignoring SBIE2101 messages > Run Sandboxed > Firefox + Run Sandboxed > Edge | same Default box.
    Maybe, I'm not understanding -

0.5.4d installed, Looks all fine, Cyberpunk 2077, GTA V, FireFox, so from my side all OK. Still the old unity bug, always hoping one of the things you do, might fix this, but well.
Good work, keep it coming. I will not test the grouping before I see you write about fixes.
The logging parameter, in which log will it show Messages, Resource log, API log? Or is there another log.

Edit add: One thing which happens with any update is, the startup with Win breaks, if you check in task manager the sbm icon is not present. Fix is switch it off, apply, on, apply. Icon shows and it works again. This is quite odd, also as the reg entry still looks fine. So it should work. but doesn't could be some sec mechanism from win 10.

Thanks again. Ok, if you don't have "SbieCtrl_HideMessage=2101,ConnectPort (C0000022) access=001F0000 initialized=1" in your Sandboxie.ini, then obviously it works for you without the message.

But I have been able to reproduce this on all the PCs I have tried it on (5 so far). Maybe DavidXanatos can take another look at that sometime. Let's just wait and see.

I will soon try Sandboxie Plus again, but I noticed that Sandboxie Classic has also been updated, so I assume the new update has got some bug fixes, since you don't actually add new features to Sandboxie Classic? Also, is it possible to remove the ugly ''focus rectangle'' in the main GUI of Sandboxie Plus? In Sandboxie classic you will also see it, but only if you actually select a process.

I need to reinstall it on my laptop, but I'm talking about the dotted lines in the main GUI which shows the running processes. Will probably post a screenshot tomorrow.

Speaking of GUI, about the main Classic version, David you should remove the "Sandboxie Control - xanasoft.com" or whatever it is now as it makes the software look cheap, there should be nothing in the titlebar other then "Sandboxie Control", there's already a Help tab > Website you can use for your various things, like github, patchnotes, website, patreon, etc.

I just installed this and I keep getting this popping up too, even when I'm not using Sandboxie. Can you explain again how you fixed it? Thanks.

When you're in Test Build 0.5.4d you need to edit Sandboxie.ini to remove all references to WindowsFontCache and you need to remove Windows10CoreUI template from Templates.ini. (credit isaak654)
    https://github.com/sandboxie-plus/Sandboxie/releases/tag/v0.5.4d
    Or, run 0.5.4c

Thanks for the quick reply. Unfortunately this does not work for me. The error still comes up and even if I remove the line Template=WindowsFontCache in sandboxie.ini, it respawns when I use Sandboxie.

Have you tried Maintenance > Disconnect or Stop All?
Note: backup save your ini files ... just in case.

I think I fixed it. I was able to edit the file via Edit Configuration and I also had to remove the reference to Windows10CoreUI as well.

Yes this is what I mean, you can't get rid of it. I have checked out the latest Sandboxie Plus and I liked the new configuration window, but it should also be visible in the main menu. I did notice that sometimes the GUI freezed and the SBIE Plus GUI still can't open maximized! Isn't anyone bothered by this? And I prefer the old tray-icon to be honest, it's not that clear if processes are running sandboxed. So while the GUI looks interesting and has got potential, I'm afraid that SBIE Plus isn't ready for prime time yet on my machine.

FWIW ~ if you prefer open Maximize (full screen) ....try expanding GUI size to full screen and cycle GUI. On my machine. Plus GUI retains - opens at my preferred size.
