I have a GeForce 6800 and running nVidia 71.89 drivers with no trouble. My GF has a AIW 9000 Pro. Not sure on which driver version she is using but it's at least 6 months old. No trouble on hers as well, regardless of bit depth. Both have XP SP2.

Running nVidia GeForce FX5200 with drivers 66.93 here and GeForce MX440 with drivers 71.89 on another home computer without any problems, both in 32-bit color mode. XP SP2.

I have the ATI Mobility Radeon 9200 with driver set 6.14.10.6451. I have the rendering problem. Now just running NOD32 2.5 in Non-graphic ESET user interface.

When running NOD32 version 2.0, I had no problems with the rendering.

Regarding the rendering issue; I have experienced this problem since the Beta release of Nod32 Version 2.5.

The computer runs on Windows XP Professional with SP2 installed. There is I Gig of ram and I recently installed a Radeon 9250 graphics card...prior to the Beta release of Nod32.

After sending a request for support, I received a reply with the suggestion to update the driver for the video card; this thread was also posted in the reply which is why I'm here. I have updated the driver for the card to the most recent version "6.14.10.6505" with no change.

I do not experience any graphics problem(s) with any other program.

As it's been said, the problem seems to be caused by XP styles support in v. 2.50. It seems to be confined to certain ATI and maybe Matrox cards. A workaround is to swtich your graphic card to a different color mode.

I don't know about "Styles" being related to the problem, but I agree the ATI graphics card, series 9200 in my case, is related to the problem.

As for changing the color mode as a workaround, not a viable solution for me. I'll just live with the glitch and disable graphics mode for now.

styles...is that the same a XP themes?

If so, this machine has just about every display enchancement EXCEPT, smooth edge fonts turned off... the issue only appears in 24-bit mode. The screen saver is windows standard beziers, but desktop image is a jpeg of our old company logo - window style is windows classic, colors are windows classic, font size is normal - it's so "normal" as to be boring!

Has anyone noticed that the white patches seem to grow or shrink? Depending on what you click on in control panel such as Update and Scanner logs.

So it seems the DX7 cards dont have problems, judging by the fact that it works fine on a GeForce4 MX 440.

Again, its the ATI 9000 series DX8 cards that are affected, and some Matrox cards (Parhelia is DX 8.x I think)....

Just updated to v2.5 on two of my PCs.

    #1
ATI 9800Pro w/ Cat 4.12 drivers in 32 bit mode
    WinXP SP2
    2.4 GHz P4

    #2
    GeForce4 Ti4600 w/ 71.89 Nvidia drivers
    WinXP SP2
    900 MHz Athlon

No graphical glitches noted on either system. All seems to be good (so far).

Will the workaround be only temporary?

for what it's worth: i have an ati radeon 9200 series video card. if i run my monitor settings at a color quality of 32 bit, i have the white patches showing up in nod32. if i leave it in 16 bit (which i do anyways) no problems at all.

i dunno, cheesier desktop graphics for one. probably makes a big difference if your a gamer. i got my computer's performance options set to 'adjust for best performance' and have the display setting set for 16 bit 600x800 pixels. makes everything a little faster i guess. i use to use style xp and have all these crazy boot screens, wallpapers, and themes. now i kinda like the simple plain look of my desktop. somebody else probably knows more about the different display options, i'm not really too sure about them.

    Hi
I have a motherboard with onboard ATI Radeon 9200 series video card and was getting the white areas with Nod32 2.5. (This did not occur with the previous Nod32).
I have fixed the problem on my PC by backing off the Hardware Acceleration setting one notch under the Troubleshoot Tab in the ATI setup options.
    Hope this helps someone else.

that actually works for me too. in 16 bit i leave the hardware acceleration set to 'full'. in 32 bit i had to take it down a notch in order to get rid of the white patches.
