Well, I can't really. I think it only happens w/ DX8 cards (from reading the threads) and thus it doesn't happen for me.

    Hi,

I have a radeon 9200 SE and install the new catalyst driver 5.7 and the problem is still there (white patch on both side)? What are they doing at eset? Are they actually working to solved this issue?

    Best regards,
    Atomas31

I could be mistaken, but I was of the belief that this had been pretty much isolated. If ESET have their end implemented as per the appropriate spec then what is it to do with them - it's up to the driver manufacturer to ensure compatability isn't it? We've seen similar things with M$ in the past where ESET have implemented function according to the documented requirements and then later m$ have released a patch so that their gear actually worked the way that they said it should....Remember that anybody? :)

I hope so but that doesn't mean they can not resolve a glitch that their software has... does it?

It's definitely a problem of ATI Catalyst drivers. We tried to contact them, but received only a vague answer.

Not only we add signatures, we are working hard on NOD32 3.0 which will have a brand new interface and a lot of new features.

Oh man oh man can't wait! (well I can because I don't want you guys to rush anything) ;)
And also: 9800Pro with Catalyst 5.7 works fine.

I understant that there is a conflit with the ATI drivers but the previous version of NOD32 (2.13) never had any problem with graphic card wich mean, it as something to do with what you've done in NOD32 2.5. So, from that point, I don't understand why you don't solved this glitch in your software instead of pointing finger toward ATI drivers since those driver didn't change but your software did (not in a good way in regard of some graphic card ;-)o_O? Should I simply understand that you won't bother with that glitch and , maybe, I shouldn't bother either?

So, did the new ATI catalyst 5.8 solved the rendering problem of NOD32 2.50?

Nobody can confirm if the new ATI catalyst 5.8 solved or didn't solved the rendering problem of NOD32 2.50?

And I didn't expect them to, either.....the problem is, at least, in part, Eset's. (Or maybe both ATI and Eset).

I see rendering problems also with an older non-ati card. It looked to me like a problem with the control icons not being refreshed/repainted with resolution/palette changes.

Make sure your desktop runs in 32bit color mode or 16bit, as 24 can cause some problems (or that's what I've seen on my own apps).

OK! Now I am confuse... Here's the situation, when I install the new ATI catalist 5.9, reboot my system, look at NOD32, the rendering problem was gone and everything was, finally, perfect in the GUI. A little later, I close my computer just came back, reopen (boot) it and the rendering problem is back again with NOD32o_O Why does it work great after the first reboot to install the new ATI Catalist but after other reboot the rendering problem come back againo_O?

Not on my Radeon 9200 ATLANTIS. :( I suggest we close this thread and merge it into the original. https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=80518&page=6&pp=25
