The false positives should be quarantined and from there they can be restored.

Backup the system first into image. Ran this on two systems I have at my desktop. One only had 1 threat but that's not a threat FP. The other system had 14 threats. 4 were tracker cookies to fix that I just add those *.com to the Firefox. And delete them. The rest were not threats but FP again. I won't be using this program as it would cause the system to be unstable.

It seems to use a lot of RAM though..

well wen this goes out of beta, i see potential for a new security setup for myself consisting of this and Avast v5, i really liked beta 1 of this product so i think its promising and extremely light, not noticeable even.:thumb:

Hi guys, sorry I haven't been replying, caught the darn swine flu  But I'm feeling much better now :)

Recently S360 has been receiving a lot of false positives due to a generic family of malware, which enjoys replicating itself as genuine windows services and the heuristics are too blame for these detections in this one. These false positives are being worked on as we speak :)

As for the service, IS360srv.exe, it is being used for automatic updates (not yet 100% functioning) and that is why it is currently running. The automatic update service will be able to be turned off in the next release (2.2).

It actually uses very little ram when running, however, when scanning it will use more as with any other antimalware program.

Simple and highly effective if things continue to progress.I've had high hopes for 360 from the start,IOBit only seem to produce top quality stuff.

I am using IObit Security 360 right now (I tested it 11 days ago and criticized the resident protection module). The latest version working much better.

"Resident protection module cannot detect malware which are detected by on-demand scanning" problem is gone.

It seems to me that the detection rate is slightly improved (however, I think you must find a way to quickly increase the size of the signatures database).

Advanced protection against unknown threats based on behavior of applications also take some action and it is very good news.

My (humble) opinion for this time would be that IObit Security 360 becomes better and that the developers are on the way to make really good and competitive software. :thumb:

The reason detections are low at the moment is due to the way IObit choose to detect. Once malware becomes older, and starts to move out of circulation, the detections are removed. As for adding more detections, in about 2 months you will see a HUGE spike in the number of detections ;) Got something big planned :p

And thanks guys, I am much better. The Australian swine flu is nothing more then a high fevered flu :p

I see some useful changes in the interface.
The interface didn't list the firewall that I am running before.
You can access "Settings" by right-clicking the tray icon. I believe that is new also.
    Nice.:thumb:

Beta 3.0 has an automatic scan which can be set to run at system idle.
    I can't locate a change-log though...
