    Also this threads : http://forums.iobit.com/showthread.php?t=3739

Looks like it ain't gonna be really free for all the features after all :doubt:

And not even talking about false positive (lots of them are about uninstaller in my case!?!) and also, in my case, the fact that it can't update on my vista laptop :thumbd:

Too bad but for one I won't even bother with it :'(

    I installed the RC.
If you like the tools; they look accessible to me.
PC Security Analysis still works also.

The features that are disabled in the RC (free) version are:
    Automatic Scan.
    Automatic Update.
    DOG Detection (heuristic malware detection).

With real-time monitoring and the tools, it's not bad at all for a free program IMO.
    * There are three services running for Security 360 RC in Task Manager, so there is real-time monitoring in the free version.*

Yes, 3 Processes in Task Manager, and: Pay ...

I felt the case, does not stir my tail.

It's not really a thing for me.

    Sleazy thing, stay out.

Consider it solved. You watch OVER OUR TROOPS.

    I'm making no headway today.

You can do a manual update by using the "Update" tab in the control panel.
Is that what you are looking for?

    :doubt:

Avira will have real behavior blocker in their free version (which already has one of the bigest malware signature database and awesome heuristic) very soon and guys from Iobit removed heuristic from their free version?

It must be a joke? They just teasing us? :argh:

You are talking about the loss of heuristic detection on the free version?
Yeah. I would have liked that also.
I wouldn't mind if a user could opt to update strictly by a manual method either.
The default isn't automatic, but close to it as it looks for an update as soon as Security 360 starts.

Sheesh and you think IObit don't listen to it's users:

Also, comparing Avast! to S360 is like comparing a mouse to an elephant. The mouse will find the small crumbs the elephant misses.

thats a funny way of putting it, but i dont think its realistic, the only "crumbs" avast misses are cookies, other than that are zero day threats, which are much bigger problems than "crumbs"

What I meant by that was, Avast! is an fully fledged antivirus with a huge database. Security 360 has a small database compared to Avast!, but S360 finds threats that Avast! misses. No antivirus can give you close to 100% detection, but S360 edges that detection slightly forward.

but what does avast miss? the only things purposely excluded from the detections are cookies or similar non-threat detections, there isnt a set type of malware avast misses, so how do you know what to look for, if avast knows of a threat they will put it in the detections as fast as possible, i dont know how you can make a statement like that. unless as i said, zero-day threats.
