-Thank you so much, it made my morning. Really nice from you :) Thanks on Emre's behalf as well.
-I am not a technology person as I mentioned before, but that's why we have Emre to explain everything in all those technical "it all sounds Chinese to me" details :)
-We will take your suggestions into considerations, we definitely don't want anyone to get annoyed with ZAM, but rather to enjoy it :)
-Great to have you on Wilder's :)

-Please feel free to PM me. We are located in different time zones, so that's the reason. Just PM me and I'll get right on it!

I've had 3 activation (free lifetime) resets all done same day and no problems.

If this was discussed in previous posting, I wasn't aware of it. This is an effort meeting or exceeding that of the leading edge developers in the industry. Having established itself with AntiLogger (which is far more than an anti-logger), this is a clear indication Zemana is dead-on serious about advancing its role as a major player.

Being the skeptic I am, I decided to log the signatures.db updates for ZAM on my Windows 10 test system. Indeed, the updates do occur every 30 minutes.

It seems ZAL updates have stepped up to this level as I also logged its updates at the same time. I always knew threats.zdb updated several times a day, but now I see where it is just as aggressive as ZAM. (Occasionally there's that samples.zdb file which comes and goes; I assume it's an interim file supporting threats.zdb.)

    Impressive.

    You're welcome.

In further thinking (Oh, no!) on the terminology, ask or warn is what is usually called out in the settings. For example, you now have delete and quarantine where ask/warn be a selection, too. As well, additional settings could exist to enable/disable actions of the "automatic" nature.

Whereas, "user intervention" would pertain to the selections available in alert popups which, of course, would vary with the nature of the alert.

I would refer you, and the AntiMalware team, to the fine-tuning available in your own AntiLogger, ranging from it's default near-complete silence to alert-for-everything. IMHO, it is enigmatic this level of configuration has been abandoned in ZAM's development and I sincerely hope the strategy does not migrate to ZAL.

I know I drift off-topic when discussing ZAL in this thread, but while I have changed/abandoned a slew of anti-whatever solutions over the years, it has been the one constant on my systems - for over five years. I can't help but comment on my observations and concerns when comparing the features and feel of the two.

    That's it for now.

Thanks Ida! I'm afraid I can't PM as I'm new to the forum but Armagan got back to me via e-mail and has reset my license. Really appreciate the help!

Just encountered my first bug win ZAM realtime. I downloaded the latest version of MediaInfo (bundled with PUP, x64 version MD5 8673654F271E9F9E37045FCAD44565AA) and tried to install. ZAM showed the file as malicious and quarantined, and the windows explorer window became unresponsive. I had the download folder open where I had the file, and another window open. Only the explorer window where the file was became stuck, other one was fine. Had to kill and restart explorer.exe.

There are only 3 available languages (Italian, Polish, Turkish) in Portable version. (?)
    What happened to other languages?

    Found a bug:
Right click on Attach in Feedback - see what happens.
Can't see Finnish in the language list.

Any idea where to find out what's being blocked by Zemana AntiMalware.

No log, no quarantine to follow up (action to exclude etc).

For this case, I am sure that it blocked the auto-update of VoodooShield to v3.04.

    Thank you.

Zemana shows it as clean when I drag-and-drop it into into the UI, but blocks it on execution.

Virus Total is showing Shadesandbox as clean so looks like another false positive.

-We will get it updated. Thanks for letting us know :)

    -Will look into it.

    -Please see images below:

    Qurantine.png reports.png

-If it is a false positive you can report it withint AntiMalware, by clicking on the bottom where it says "Send Feedback" where you can attach a file for us to look into it.
-Or once it's detected click on "report as false positive", which ever you prefer, we will receive it and white list it!

-Please PM me and I will be able to assist you.

    Best regards,

    Ida
