This is shaping up nicely...I think Zemana have a real contender here.

What happened to the other engines, although current 6 are good ones. Also, FP it detects Norton Connect Safe DNS as DNS hijack.

Please, report this FP through in-product feedback system.

Up to version 2.2.1.460, in was the MetaScan 8 package (all 8 engines).
Now with 2.4.1.100 it is only the 5 from the total 16 engines of Metascan 16 package.

Please, can you clarify the following?
    a) You are using the MetaScan 16 package or only a portion of it?
    b) What means: "5 best AV engines" Best for whom?

I uninstalled the first beta version after a while. I have since then tried some recent releases including the current version, but upon launching I get an error "cloud connection failed." I also get an error when I try to activate it.

@anon: Those engines have greater/better detection rate and less FPs than those that got kicked out.

    I know that.

My comment was only for "definitely faster" and not about detection rates/quality........
If you mean the "Best for whom?", yes I want an answer.

Probably selected per feedback and their own choices.

Does the product really have to eat a lot of CPU power like 50%-90% most of the time? I reported this to Zemana a long time ago, but the response I got was that they'll look into it and report back to me. But they didn't report back yet. And so far I haven't seen any improvements on CPU usage based on the changelog.

My laptop runs Windows 8.1 Pro 32-bit. :)
I know that ZAM 2 is still in Beta, that's why I reported the problem.

Also, I keep seeing posts here that ZAM 2 has a tray icon and a right-click context menu. But so far I haven't seen them. It's probably because I always run my laptop on a Non-Admin account. Can those be looked into too? :)

    Salutations,

Nice update! Everything is looking better! May, I suggest, that you remove AVG and replace it with Dr. Web!
Also, Dr. Web would like in cleaning of rootkits and very danger trojans in my opinion.
    Also waiting on definitions update!!!

    Kind regards,

    Moose's World

I agree and that's why I temporarily uninstalled it, waiting till the issue is addressed.

Congratulations on public release. Downloaded portable version. FP with Norton ConnectSafe DNS has already been fixed.
