    Thx;)

I feel its desktop icon is almost see-through and hard to see.

    Hello Everyone,

As of today, we have reached more than 20K users in 3 weeks and this is a really great milestone for a BETA product. Thanks a lot for your great feedbacks and suggestions. ZAM is getting better and powerful day by day and we will be able to release the product this month.

We cannot reproduce it. Which edition of TrendMicro are you using?
No, this is similar to other AV engine heuristics but these heuristics signatures are generated using the behaviors collected through ZAL Pro.
Zemana SafeOnline is not a retail product, it contains all the ZAL Pro modules which doesn't require user input plus ZAM with central management/reporting.
    Correct.
I apologize for the inconvenience. We have whitelisted it, can you check and let me know if it is still getting detected?
Yes, we'll use it to keep in touch with our beta users.
Thank you for your time and your support.
Can you please send your host file to dev@zemana.com, we'll get back to you as soon as possible once we receive the file.
This issue has been fixed in the latest version.
Glad to hear things are getting sorted out. Thank you very much for keeping us informed.

We treat them as any other malware so ZAM can remove the infection but cannot decrypt the files. In the past we achieved to develop a decryptor tool against some of the ransomware variants but the bad guys are making their crypto implementation harder day by day.

Usually, user who are aware of the ransomware threats are using solid backup solutions which is the only 100% solution to prevent these kind of attacks.

Yes we do not scan these kinds of files for privacy reasons but making it optional is in our todo list.

Yes, we are planning to add an optional on-execute scans later.

Unfortunately I do not agree, look at some variant of CryptoLocker in the below VT intelligence reports and notice the first scan and further scan results.

    Screenshot_021215_101738_AM.jpg
Can you please zip and send these minidump files to dev@zemana.com. Thanks in advance.

    Salutations,

Again, my main concern is post #236

"Yes, we are planning to add an optional on-execute scans later."

    Time frame down the road?

Thank you for sharing this link! http://blog.zemana.com/2014/03/FatmalDecrypter.html
    Appreicate!

Also, very nice detection of http://malwaretips.com/threads/ctb-locker-ransomware-2015-02-01-update5.41633/

Look over their different red square boxes. For example, trojan/rootkit, ransomware,
malwarepack. This may help and/or may not help. Your feedback? From the above
    link!

Trend 2015 w/Hypersensitive - noticed conflicts, and BSOD's with ZAM64.SYS or something. Trend complained about it endlessly.

Thanks a lot but we need more information in order to trace the the bug. You are probable using some thirdparty application for reading dump data.

Can you please locate the crash minidump, zip it up, and attach it here or email it to dev@zemana.com.

    To locate the dump file:
    • Go to your Windows directory (e.g. C:\Windows);
    • Browse the Minidump folder;

It would be inappropriate to talk about a time frame since we are totally focused on product's detection and cleaning capabilities but once we are out of BETA I can provide an ETA for this feature. (PS, this is my favorite feature in our to-do list)

What is the cause of this? It's only been installed on one computer. I have already submitted a ticket on this. Please see attached.

I went to the Zemana website to create an account and was wondering why you require my full name, full address, and telephone number? Email is not enough?

This really turned me off so I canceled it.

The scanner is not scanning within archives or within folders. As you can see eicar was not detected at all. Only scanning the eicar file directly is it detected. Context menu scanning is not working correctly. Also, while selecting and scanning 3 folders, why have 3 different instances of the gui open?

Here is the result of selecting 39 photos and using the context menu to scan.

Doesn't ZAM scan zip files using right click scan? It doesn't scan these for me.

I don't agree that some legitimate browser extensions should be flagged.

Under the "Scheduler Scan", we still have "Full Scan" instead of "Deep Scan"...
