Ok so a member I've never heard of before with 8 posts creates a highly unlikely thread with a link to a website I've never heard of before. Click at your own peril.

At the start of the translation it says "subs by anon" Could it be the same @anon here at our forum?

I did my own test and I can't confirm this, I used the same tools/programs as mentioned in the video. So is this only with Pro/Core/?/? Can someone re-test because I not want waste my time to demystify another BS from someone. I'm always skeptical if someone post such things without to mention how to contact him. In past there are now a lot of analyzes from people that aren't experts so this is problematically because you can come very fast to the wrong conclusion without a deeper look into it.

I think the Windows 10 Pro Insider Preview build 10525 in the lower right explains it all. This build was released August 18, 2015.

Maybe it's faked I used the same tools and I couldn't reproduce it, but if anyone could link me to the 10525 I would re-test this again and show the results over here, because I doubt that this is real. Especially that would mean if you use online banking and such stuff they could collect and directly see everything. I'm skeptically and not blindly believe everything.

I've not looked at it and don't plan on wasting my time, but I'm sure this earlier post has something to do with it.

I got my dirty hands on Windows 10 Insider Preview 14267 (Redstone) and there was no screen capturing available. Maybe this ru guy just faked something or downloaded modified builds by wzt or other places but I can't confirm this, of course there are some connections but don't forget that the Pro versions and Ent. coming with Drive and other stuff which are depending on internet for updates/upload things and and and, so I see not really ground to say the entire OS is in general 'spying' on you, or not more like all other systems.

Also note that e.g. Windows check once per week e.g. for security stuff like certificates and this is also 'hidden' but this is okay because I think if everything would be visible it would scare people + the fact if you disable everything you lower the security aspect, e.g. blocking these certificate checks wouldn't ends up good.

There is a YouTube video on my posts, somewhere, that shows how Windows 10 makes a connection to Microsoft everytime you open a local image.

This would have serious bandwidth impact, I'd think. Especially (but not exclusively) on asymmetric lines. I kind of doubt it's real.

That said, it's quite interesting to look at Wireshark on a Win10 machine while talking into an attached microphone. You'll see lots of HTTPS traffic to Microsoft. Probably related to Cortana, but still weird.

The question is, if it's local traffic or real internet traffic. But as you said Cortana could be one reason. And another question would be if that traffic (if encrypted) stores personally information such as IP/Meta/... each time or just to transmit the new words. But anyway this would be a big thing because it would require massive bandwidth + I think this would against any privacy law. As written I can't confirm this.

Yet 'Liba' the creator of this thread remains silent here but continues to say similar things elsewhere about software in the forum. The most telling of which, they all involve 'X' meaning s/he has no idea and is just trying to start stuff. I hate you Liba, almost as much as I hate Windows 8/10!

Windows contains Steps Recorder since Windows 7, but that has to be run by a user, since it is a remote support feature. "Steps Recorder keeps a record of steps taken by the user, the data includes user actions such as keyboard input and mouse input, user interface data and screen shots."

I totally agree with this Russian guy, WINDOWS 10 IS A BLACK BOX SPYWARE.
Thank you very much SIR, people like you are rare.

Of course MicroSoft is a NSA employee, as well as Google & Apple.
I wouldn't be surprised that they get paid for their collaboration.

Everybody should follow Mr. Richard Stallman's recommendations.
DO NOT USE WINDOWS NOR ANDROID NOR IOS.
DO NOT USE "STANDARD" ENCRYPTION ALGORITHMS.
