Re: Windows Firewall Control 4.0 released today

hate to nitpick, but... the title is deceptive -- makes it seem like this thread is about Windows Firewall Control instead of Windows 7 Firewall Control. I use the former on several Windows 7 installations because it's free -- anyone know how that compares to the free version of Windows 7 Firewall Control?

W7FC is a complete Software with its own GUI and rules.
WFC is a GUI (frontend) for the built-in Windows Firewall.

Windows Fitering Platform (WFP) is serving both - and other s like this)

    I use Windows 7 Firewall Control Free on XP & 7 64bit.

Version 4.1.14.73 is more user friendly than earlier versions. :)

erm, i remember that "allow once" allows for the session and the rule is deleted
when program terminated. sorry, forgot that. there is no option like in
    online armor or outpost.

i hope they will implement soon an exclusion rule for path (eg sandboxied
programs which should have access without a rule for testing purpose,
otherwise i have a closed box)
