Hi Mantra, I don't use any task scheduler other than Windows. Nothing regarding Windows defender runs. If something ran, I would know. I am always looking inside Task manager. When I turn off WD, it stays off.

I turn off WD off via registry, look at the picture.

    Sin título.jpg

I used a tutorial from tenforums that creates this key:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows Defender

    1 means Off
Delete it or 0 means On

I think the registry key should look the same for you. When WD is Off, if I click to open the WD Interface, I get a message from Windows that states that WD is disabled by Group policy.

The upgrade to FCU enabled back Fast start for me also, I think it did that for everybody. Windows defender was off when I updated, and was off after the update. A couple of days after the update, I turned it back to on, and kept it on for about 36 hours, it felt good. The update pretty much left everything the way I had it. But it switched my default photo viewer back to Photos, while I had and prefer to use Windows photo viewer as my default photo viewer. I like disabling Store Apps automatic updates, the update switched that setting to on. That was it, the rest stay put.

It disables the Windows Defender Security Center. I've tested on my laptop. No issues so far.

I like this one better. Creator was great for me but FCU is more stable. I haven't experienced a single glitch or annoyance. In Events log, I see a lesser amount of Warnings/Errors. Whats new in FCU, I really dont care about but I ignore that part of the computer. I upgraded both times using the Update assistant, it has worked fine both times, but this time the process felt even better than when upgrading to Creators.

Clean install on 2 machines, I can't see that much difference except speed, they seem snappier than with 1703.

Having problems with this version. My login is messed (have to enter login pass twice over to get in), and I'm getting random reboots, which is unacceptable as I need to be working on stuff. I'm not happy.

If there is someone running Windows 10 Pro 64-bit Fall Creators Update (1709) that can help me out with a bit of registry data/export, please let me know.

I need someone to export the following registry key:
I was messing around with my Process Mitigations and deleted that key by accident.
Anyway, I believe that there was some important value within that which is set by default.
