My friend installed NOD32 v1.474 on my computer yesterday. I like it very much. Very quick & low on system resources. He says I have a year of updates on him. But nowhere does my copy say when the update subscription ends. The web site has a easy to understand FAQ. But where to find the expiration date wasn't listed. Anyone know where that'd be on the GUI? Thanks. o_O

    Dear John,

you will be notified about a week prior to to the expiration. We plan to implement a feature that will remind you the expiration date.

    Thanks,

    Hi,

I have the test version of NOD32. Are you both talking about that?

I'm changing the post here. (editing)

I went to nod32.com. Is the downloadable trial version also called version 2?

    It's all very confusing.

Also, whenever I do a scan I get the following message: Error occured while scanning MBR sector of the 2. physical disk. Error reading sector.

Is that alright or do I have to fix something. I have IE-SPYad and have some restrictions set. Perhaps they are causing this problem.

    Thanks for your help.

My subscription expired a month and a half ago and I did not receive any notification.
I did not have Nod installed because I had formatted the hard drive and did not bother putting Nod back as I only was using it as a second on demand scanner.
I noticed on the web site that you have to buy an upgrade within a month of it expiring or you have to buy the full version again.
    :(

    Hi,

Thanks for answering my questions on the part that NOD skips. Glad to know it's not just my system. :D

    Take care,
