    Of course.
I responded to plat, who wondered if the changes in the filter lists were in 1.50, or also in 1.49.2. That is why I told I was still on 1.49.2, not 1.50.

if you dont deal that much with cookie consent than its ok, for my part i visit a lot of (german/european) pages where GDPR is mandatory.

I found recent info at Reddit r/uBlockOrigin.
About why Fanboy's Annoyance List was moved from the Annoyances section; by gorhill4:
What combination of filter lists in the Annoyances section covers the same as Fanboy's Annoyance List; by gorhill4:

@Stupendous Man Thx for sharing. Have a question though ... isn't AG Annoyances filter which was moved to the Custom pane redundant if all other AG filters in the Annoyances pane are enabled?

    Hi pegas,
I'm not sure what you mean by AG. Do you mean AdGuard?
I did not mention AdGuard. I do not use any of the AdGuard filter lists.
I mentioned Fanboy's Annoyance List is no longer in the Annoyances section, but is now a Custom list.
Sampei Nihira replied, saying "AdGuard Cookie Notice from custom goes into annoyances." As I don't use AdGuard filter lists, I don't know about that, but I think I understand that's about a previously Custom list that is now in the Annoyances section.

As for your question, regardless of AdGuard or EasyList/ Fanboy, if an Annoyances filter list was moved to Custom, and if in the Annoyances section there is now a series of lists that replace the one that was moved to Custom, and if you enabled all items in the replacement series, then yes, the old list in Custom is now redundant and could be removed, I would say.

Yes, that's the post my excerpt originates from.
You can have AG Annoyances filter enabled or if you want to have granular control, you can enable only filters they suit your needs.

Does anyone know why the Final release build 1.50.0 does not offer a signed firefox .xpi build, yet all the RC's before that are signed?

gorhill seems to change the XPI file after signing i would bet.
currently its not signed because 1.50.0 is not released yet on AMO.
both places are tied with the signing knot.

in case you want to use it right now you need to use the firefox dev build, or nightly, turn off signing. or sign it yourself with a different ID import settings and later on when the original is signed, change back.
for regular users complete overkill unless you have fun like me to convert or change extensions.

Okay thanks for the info. I'll just wait for the final to be released then, because I am using the latest signed RC which is working well for me.

I figured out that I will normally see it at least once a day on both the US and Dutch versions, and I don't even have a JustWatch account, but they want you to sign up and log in. There must be some way to tackle this? Perhaps you guys should visit these links a couple of times during the day, because I doubt this pop up is only visible in The Netherlands.

Yes, but that won't help in this case.

Did it right now, from both links I don't see any pop up while trying to browse the website in 5 or 6 pages.

    Filter Lists in UBO 1.50.0:

There is no point in using multiple annoyances lists.
Use the one that is best for the websites you frequent.

OK thanks for checking, very weird. And BTW guys, I have a new problem, I noticed that Google Search all of a sudden presents search results in a long list, instead of separate pages, and when I change the settings, it ignores it. Keep in mind, I'm not logged into Google, and don't plan to. So can this perhaps be fixed with uBlock?

I still have the separate pages here and I'm not logged in.
Can't see any setting to change it either.

    Thanks.
Nevertheless, I use six of the Annoyances lists now.
First, I used uBlock filters Annoyances, plus Fanboy's Annoyances List. That worked nicely.
Now, I use uBlock filters Annoyances, plus the five new EasyList Annoyances lists that combined cover the same as Fanboy's Annoyances List: EasyList Cookie Notices, Newsletter Notices, Notifications, Other Annoyances, and Social Widgets. Possibly, I could do with only a few of those lists, but as the combination works very well, I see no reason to change that.

the possible reason for separated lists is probably to use them more granular, or switch only in parts to prevent full featured lists only used in few parts. i appreciated this. in view to MV3 separation is recommended.

Yes, that's what I thought, to be able to make fine-grained choices. I think it's what gorhill4 said.

Ah, very good point. I hadn't thought of that.

Roughly 90% of the integral annoyances filters consist of cosmetic filter rules, which till now are not permitted in the MV3 protocol.

Thanks very much, I didn't know that.
If cosmetic filter rules are not permitted in the MV3 protocol, then it doesn't seem very likely MV3 could be a motivation for separating the annoyances list into smaller lists.

If one wants smaller AG filterlists for uBO, the optimized versions (developed for mobile devices) kan be used (as custom filters).
The optimized version of AG Annoyances has 39.909 rules, the regular version (offered in uBO) 87.236 rules.
