    Ah, thanks.
And also I noticed Fanboy's Annoyance List is no longer in the Annoyances section, but is now a Custom list.

Because that list is no longer a possible list to be chosen by default.
AdGuard Cookie Notice from custom goes into annoyances.

Is this in v. 1.50? Because in Firefox here, it's still 1.49.2. The Mozilla addons store likewise had 1.49.2 for sale. Nothing later.

The Resource Abuse list is still showing in the Dashboard at 0/70. And Fanboy's Annoyances list is still in the Annoyances section.

On Firefox, I have uBlock Origin 1.49.2. No 1.50.0 yet, either.
However, in uBlock Origin's Filter lists pane, when I clicked Purge all caches, and next Update now, the Resource Abuse list was removed, Fanboy's Annoyance List was moved to Custom, and in the Annoyances section several new lists are available (I think these are the new EasyList/Fanboy ones: Chat Widgets, Newsletter Notices, Notifications, Other Annoyances).

I've been trying to find info about these changes in the Annoyances section, but no luck, so far.
I wonder why the Fanboy's Annoyance List was moved from the Annoyances section, and why it was replaced by several new lists. I guess it is to be able to make fine-grained choices, instead of one large annoyances list.

OK, excellent--purged the caches like you said, Stupendous Man, and both items were then modified as described earlier (Fanboy's Annoyances moved to Custom and Resource Abuse list removed altogether). There were also little flags identifying the various regional lists now.

    Groovy. :thumb:

to clarify, mozilla do not sell any extension. extensions are for free if the author has not set anything else (yes, at least one extension is only paid, to pay to the author, not mozilla). mozilla only sell services, their own services.

concerning changes, its well decided not to delete a list when its no longer default, other authors would have removed them. and - list changes in the past also.

further, the adguard lists are very good, why not use them?

Long-time readers of this topic are accustomed to Mozilla's approval for new Firefox extensions taking a much longer amount of time when compared to Chrome-based browsers.

to have a preview users can download the xpi from github and load it in another profile with about:debugging
(loading in working profile has side effects)

For some reason I can't play any video in Opera at https://www.vkmag.com in Opera. The red play arrow on the video isn't clickable. Turning off Malwarebytes Browser Guard and uBlock doesn't help.

Can anyone test it for me in Opera, please?

either the crappy malwarebyte or ublock, but not both.
because you buzzed the cookie consent with another extension.

You're right. I completely omitted IDCAC. If I disable IDCAC I still have to create the below rule in uBlock to allow cookie consent.
However is there a way to play vids even with cookie consent blocked?

depends on web site, in this case you need to acknowledge or get nothing.

"IDCAC" is not only css, it includes some JS to perform similar dialogs, but obviously not for that page

Strange as while it's allowed in the separate list it's blocked in the compiled list. This doesn't make sense.

Thanks! Found it in Chrome store and it works pretty well with the uBlock rule
I will test it on non english sites. It could kill cookie consents if any slip through uBlock.

cookielaw is whitelisted here, like other consent dialogs. thats why i dont block consent dialogs with ublock nor umatrix. i let them handled with the right extension and this is consent blocker and consent-o-matic. ublock only suppresses the dialog and as you could see it do not work, same as IDCAC.

    That's not surprising. Quote:
As mentioned in this forum before, "recommended" extensions in Firefox are explicitly and manually reviewed by Mozilla experts for every update before being published in AMO. This takes some time but makes those add-ons much more secure. There is no equivalent in the Chrome Web Store.

    It's worth thinking about.
True but not so often. I would say the website in question is an exception for me. Otherwise uBlock is doing well.
