A few SUMo users have the HMP beta on their systems, that was why SUMo showed that new version.
But as the developers' plan is to release the new HMP version as stable later this week, I didn't report it as beta.
I thought it would be to much of a hassle for Kyle.
Now that Kyle flagged this HMP version as beta, Kyle must remove the beta flag for this HMP version when it is released as stable later this week.
Or just don't bother about that, as when there's a new stable version available, HitmanPro will automatically update when the program is opened, so SUMo's HMP designation isn't that important.

Setting beta/unbeta is quite easy to me... all I need is someone to inform me since i don't use HMP myself.
Should one of you 2, as SUMo "power users" want to be granted rights to set/unset beta version on server side, just let me know :)

    Hi Kyle,
You granted me rights to set beta version on server side, last June (correspondence per e-mail).
Regarding unset beta version, you said it needed some development on server side. It should be done by end of July latest, you said.
Am I right to understand that the 'unset beta' option should now be available?
If so, I don't see that option on the SUMo "view" page, yet. I suppose you have to set that for me? I'll send you an e-mail about that in a few minutes.
    Thanks!

I was just ready for sending you my e-mail, but I understand there is no need for that. ;)
I'll await the development on server side you have planned.
Let me know when that is done. No hurry.
    Thanks very much.

    You're welcome !
FYI, i'm working on SUMo 5.x with a slight redesign of the user interface in order to be more modern & user friendly.

Wait and see as i'll be looking for beta testers in a few days :)

    Hello Kyle

I'm new to SUMO and wondered if there was a trial version of the Pro features available to download?

    Thanks
    Mark

    Two more errors:
    • PuTTY 0.67.1183.0, which is the latest daily development build; should be 0.67.0.0
    • HitmanPro.Alert 3.5.2.558 which is once again the latest beta via this forum

Well, it's not a beta, but a it's pre-release, which is not the same.
This build may be the next stable. (Or not.)
If the power users 'unset beta' option had been available, I would have tagged HMP.A build 558 as beta, and would have tagged it as not beta as soon as that build is released as stable.
But with the power users 'unset beta' option still not available, I don't want to tag the pre-release as beta, as I can't un-tag it.
Of course Kyle could tag it as not beta as soon as that build is released as stable, but Kyle is not always available to do so.

    Thanks very much, Kyle.
I will use that "un-beta" option wisely.
I hope other 'super users' will also use it wisely.
    Thanks again.

    Best regards

    Another error: foobar2000 1.3.12.0 (beta 4) instead of 13.11.0

I had been away for a couple of days, and when I got back, I noticed HitmanPro 3.7.14.276 and HitmanPro.Alert 3.5.2.558 were no longer beta but issued as stable now.
    I 'un-beta'ed both. Works great.
So now I can say "Fixed!" :)

If later for any of the applications that I use a beta is presented as available update I can flag that version as beta, and as soon as that version is issued as stable I can 'un-beta' that version.
    I'll be 'Kyle's little helper'. :D

Are there many so called 'super users' that provide a little help this way, Kyle?
Thanks again, for offering those options for 'little helpers'.

    Edit/ addition:
    I also 'un-beta'ed LibreOffice versions 5.1.5.2 and 5.2.1.2.
I think it's a bit messy, if updates are tagged as beta, but not 'un-beta'ed when the version is issued as stable.
Anyhow, in cases that I notice such, I will 'un-beta' stable versions.

thank you very much for your help.
There are a dozen of "little helpers", most being the most active SUMo users :)

With a good 1200 SUMo users, that's about 1 out of 100 users. I think those are rather nice numbers.
One would think more Windows users would want to use a nice and handy application like SUMo, but I guess it may be a bit of a 'niche' thing.

Well, thanks very much again, Kyle.

Just 'how much beta' is the SUMo 5 beta?
Is it almost a release candidate build, or is it still more of a 'buggy' beta?

Is there any information about SUMo 5 available?
At KC Softwares Forums, for instance? I wasn't able to locate such information.
Or just a few screen captures, perhaps?
