I noticed that Tenebril offers Spycatcher Express for free. It looks like it has realtime. Has anyone tried or have any experience with it? Is it effective? Any tests results or reviews anywhere? :)

theres a slight mention of it here: SpyCatcher 2006?

its a legitimate antispyware but it isnt particularly outstanding or special.

Ugh, I see that it has FPs. Can't stand those. I think I'll stay away.

    1) every app is going to have at least some false positives.

    2) the only way to eliminate FPs is to report them to support.

    3) you should at least try it on your own computer and see how u like it.

I looked at the Spycatcher(Tenebril) website and the Express version must have real-time protection.

According to that website SpyCatcher 2006 has these features in addition:
    *Provides automatic updates of fingerprints
    *Enables silent spyware scans
*Allows users to submit spyware reports for analysis
    *Adds advanced tools
    *Patent-pending anti-phishing protection
    *Hosts File Analyzer
There is no mention of a real-time monitor as an additional feature of the paid(2006) version.

That makes another free real-time antispyware program.
I may try it and compare it to Spyware Terminator.

I had it installed for a little while earlier. It generally seems fine, but it's a little bloated, slow, and somewhat glitchy. However, it does seem to have good protection. Spyware Terminator is definetly lighter tho.

But yes, this is a very obscure realtime free AS ... I'd never heard of it before.
