Please help. I think I have downloaded the smitfraud-c virus. I have run both adaware and spybot and the result showed me that I had the smitfraud-c virus on my cpu. However when I now run the virus scans nothing appears, but I still have an icon in my taskbar which states "Your computer is infected. Critical system error. System detcted virus activities etc...." When I click on the icon a new a new window pops up and I am directed to a spyquake website where it asks me to pay for a virus remover. I am completely at a loss and would appreciate it if anyone could help me out.

    Hello virused,

We no longer process hijack logs here. Posting a log on one of the forums in this announcement. would be the best course of action to take.
A newer site that may be able to help you is here. Follow the instructions on those sites before posting a log.
