Strange, must be a local problem. Have tried different browsers, DNS's, even computers. Hope it resolves itself!

Upgraded to 5.17.5 on two 7x64 machines. As always, smooth process.

Updated Chrome to v.57 and now SBIE doesn't terminate all programs in sandbox when closing it. Has anybody encountered same problem?

I've encountered this issue a few times. Since addressing it as I noted here, I have had only one occurrence, and that closed as soon as I manually deleted the contents in the SBIE control box.

I should mention that Bo said that the setting I changed "is designed for processes other than Sandboxie processes. But I reckon, if its working for you, let it be". Looks like I got lucky, or maybe it's a coincidence.

Thank you, might give it a try. The problem in my case is that there is one Chrome.exe process that doesn't close. As soon as I terminate it all other SBIE related processes end by themselves.

I didn't know you could disable browser sandboxes. But what about Vivaldi, it's working just fine installed inside the sandbox? I didn't have to turn off anything. And did you check out Dashlane?

I would try adding chrome.exe to Lingering programs.

    Sandbox settings>Program stop>Lingering programs

Also, you can test running Chrome in a new default settings sandbox.

    Sandboxie control>Sandbox>Create new sandbox

Most important. If we dont set the browser sandbox to delete automatically on closing of the browser, then we should delete it manually when we update the browser as not doing it can cause issues when you run the new version of the browser in a sandbox with old content from the previous version.

About Vivaldi. Be happy and forget about it.

I didn't try Dashlane as I am not familiar at all with password programs. I wouldn't know how to test.

If knowing the result of just running the installer in a sandbox to see if the installation is successful helps you, let me know and I ll do that.

I've added Chrome to lingering programs list, but didn't create new sandbox yet. If this doesn't help, will try that also.
I always auto delete sandbox, so it shouldn't be a problem.

It looks like adding chrome.exe to lingering programs list solved the problem. Thank you for your help.
