I've also been playing Cyberpunk through the new plus version, and I seem to be getting a lot of SBIE2203 GUIPROXY errors related to it. If I try and "hide all such messages" through the new notifications window, however, it closes SandMan.exe from my tray, and it'll start showing ClassicUI notifications. SandMan will stay closed until I manually open sandboxie-plus again. Also: the dismissal of all messages doesn't stick. Upon reopening, the messages will start rolling in again as long as I have Cyberpunk running.

...this post was moved from the thread for Sandboxie 5.33.6...

    @bjm_ The key information is that SandboxiePlus 0.5.0 = Sandboxie 5.45.0 :)

    Sandboxie-Plus 0.5.0 Sandboxie 5.45.0
    Sandboxie-Plus & Sandboxie share components.
Sandboxie-Plus v0.5.0 installer installs shared v0.5.0/5.45.0 components to Sandboxie-Plus folder.
Sandboxie v5.45.0 installer install Sandboxie v5.45.0 to Sandboxie folder.

@bjm_ I still don't understand this - who is the maintainer of Sandboxie and released 5.45.0? If it's David Xanatos, is he maintaining both Sandboxie and SandboxiePlus? The sources for SanboxiePlus are held here, I assume. Where are held the sources of Sandboxie (with version 5.45.0)?

DavidXanatos, as far as I know, is the only Sandboxie-Plus https://xanasoft.com/sandboxie-plus/ developer, at this time.
Maybe, @stapp message from Oct 2020 will help -

@bjm_ Thanks. Now I think I understand. The problem is that David doesn't seem to distinguish between SBIE+ and SBIE anywhere in official documents nor in release changes.

In every case, I'm unable to install SBIE+, because of its unknown certificate. I wonder why SBIE is signed correctly while SBIE+ is not.

SbieDrv.sys is signed with Sandoxie-Plus and Sandboxie installers.

Note: installers are not signed, at this time.

Are you allowed to use the same cert for the setup file and all of the EXE's and DLLs in question?

That would probably stop the false alarms

This explains a everything. It's hard to find these important information, thank you for answering me.

I didn't notice that I can ignore the warning and install the program anyway.

I cant run steam with Sandboxie with Sophos home installed, I asked sophos support and they told me to add Exclusions but i still get the same errors with those Exclusions

the sophos support said the fault lies with sandboxie and not sophos home

for the records and my public:

is 0.5.0 the last build for classic?
or has 0.5.1 only fixes for the plus build based on QT?
and why are hashes still missing?
    (latest hashes with "Release v0.4.2 / 5.43.6")

I just tried the new plus 0.5.1 for the first time. So far everything runs smooth :)

Is there a way when I resize the window with the sandboxes it stays the way I resized it? So when I resized it to show show process ID, start time and so on it stays this size every time I double click the sandboxie plus icon in my taskbar?
When I right click the tray icon and select "disable forced programs" there is no visual indication like with the old sandboxie. The pizza slice got a red line across it so you could see with one look if it ("disabled forced programs") was active or not.

Thanks for your time and effort to keep sandboxie going :)

~ from Plus UI Restore Down window....my Plus UI call retains resize.
~ from Plus UI Maximize window....my Plus UI call reverts to prior Restore Down size.

@DavidXanatos 0.51 all working. basic and advanced view OK. Sorting still wrong. Groups still bugged. How about the switch for possible settings, basic and advanced, I guess they are also confusing sometimes. Also because there is not much explanation sometimes. See also the questions from others, like the explanation in the installer. It is the I am not the developer, so I am not sure what this option really means. Just as a remark. Docu is scarce so far.
However all nothing burning, great work, still alive and kicking :thumb:

A bit OT, but still related, proof of concept, if anybody doubts this mega title has any issue in SBIE+, here you go, just a screen with proof  No delay, no issue, no Unity. Bam running full power.
Maybe not the most attractive corner, but I was just there. Window mode of course.

David, what is the ini parameter for putting one box to another path? I would like to try pushing this one to my SSD. Another cool thing, just kick it from one folder to another, magic of DRM free + Sandbox install all in one container. Unlike a simulation in a VM, where you power first the OS, then the VM, then another OS and then maybe it emulates the needed hardware.

Howdy, been using SB for many years and took the plunge on SB Plus 0.5.1 and now riding solo with the new GUI and really liking it. David your effort has been a true pleasure to watch since you stepped in. I have one question and it could be something I just overlooked. I have Sandman starting when Windows 10 starts, but the GUI is maximized on the desktop at boot. Is there a "start minimized" tick somewhere or at least a trick to get the program to start only in the systray?

Is it just me, or in 0.5.1 I can't find an easy way to create a new sandbox, or copy settings from another sandbox like the old Sandboxie? I can do it by editing the .ini file, but I can't see anywhere in the menu to do it.

I literaly just looked for the same, if I am not mistaken it happens since the last version 0.5.1. I was sure the option was in, but maybe it was only in the classic versions settings.

I concure, always forgot to mention it as well. When I did it some time ago, I simply went back to the classic GUI. In plus you can create a new box, but the option to choose default or copy settings of an existing box is missing. One feature to be added to +

    FileRootPath={YourFullPath}\%SANDBOX%

EX: F:\Sandboxes\%SANDBOX% would make a Sandboxes directory on my F drive, and if I had a sandbox named "games", it would create \Sandboxes\Games\ and store everything there.

Quick question, if I want to install Sandboxie Plus, I should remove Sandboxie Classic 5.45, is this correct? And when I install SBIE Plus, the new GUI will automatically show up? From what I understood, SBIE plus is the same as Sandboxie Classic 5.45 but with more features and another GUI, is this correct?

I hope others are seeing this. I just updated Firefox and I am unable to run it with Sandboxie Plus. Firefox will not go online o_O The previous FF version was working fine w/Plus.

Can't speak for Sandboxie Plus, but Firefox v84 (updated today) is working just fine with Sandboxie 5.45.0.
