    I installed security only update on my Windows 7 x64 with no problems. Also got .NET and Office updates through WU.
    So if you go security-only route, you have to install each update since there is no rollup, or am I wrong?

    I installed both W7, x86 and x64 W7 security-only today ... no problems. Download and install completed in less than a minute.

    I'm having problems with WMUT...It just keeps scanning however, using windows update via the control panel is fine?

    Yes, those updates are not cumulative and January was slow month when it comes to Windows Updates. 6,2 MB is correct size for x64 and 3,5 MB for x86.
