Great! And thanks for the IE links, I was about to post about it. Previously, the IE security updates were also distributed separately through Windows Update, but not anymore. So if you only want security updates you'll also have to download it manually.

For Win 7 64-bit I got the Sec. Only Upd. and the Cum. Upd. for IE from your links.

PS:
Several months ago I learned here that the Sec. Upd.'s are language independent. I wasn't sure now whether that goes for Cum. Upd. for IE too. Well, it installed OK from your links on my Dutch version.

I am not sure if I see this correctly or not, so hopefully somebody who knows better will correct me. If you have W7 or W8.1 installed on one of the 'banned processors', you could get around the WU ban by installing the W7 or W8 Security Only Updates every month. Get driver updates from your OEM or the component manufacturer's website.

As far as I know there is only a processor check being done by Windows Update, and if the banned processor is detected, Windows Update will not inform you that updates are available. Therefore, I think it would also be a good idea to turn Windows Updates off.

Your feedback is important. I've been posting direct download links for some months but I don't see any feedback.

@all Wilders community, do you think is worth the effort (takes some effort and time to gather links) and keep maintaining my post every monthly Patch Tuesday? Do you actually make use of them?

 

Personally I search Windows update catalog for relevant KB downloads, but some members might use direct link that you post.
