Unfortunately I have to use Edge to visit a couple of websites that are now broken when you go to them in Firefox.

Yes, it must be done in the registry or via Group Policy, the latter requiring adding the Edge Policies templates snap-in.

Thanks. I have the W10 Home version so no Group Policy. The instructions are pretty clear but I hate messing with the Registry. Its been so long since I changed anything in the Registry that I cant remember what it was.

My real problem is Firefox not Edge. I have to use Edge because Firefox is blocking a lot more stuff (by default) than it did 8 months ago. I need a Firefox fork that blocks less than Firefox but there is none. The perfect Firefox fork for me is one that doesn't block trackers or anything. A fork that leaves security and blocking to me. A fork that lets me decide what runs and what doesn't.

Brumelchen, lets not rehash it. And it is not a bug, it is Mozilla doing what they want to do.

    Greetings

this is not the right place to discuss about firefox, mozilla or silly forks. if a website claims to be important then it has to use standards and not edge/chrome proprietary code. webcompat serve all vendors, not only mozilla. its a community project to inform webmins to improve their webcode. but anyhow, it seems much more convenient to rant instead to help the community, as usual.

Yeah, I got that. I was just proposing Brave browser as an alternative to Edge.

Thanks, Krusty. I might install it in a sandbox (if possible) and see how it goes.

anyone else having issues to install
    Microsoft Edge WebView2 RuntimeInstallerX64 127.0.2651.74
    ?
also after restart it keeps "126.0.2592.113", win10 and win11.
is it rejected or fitted with issues?

Assuming you have winget installed just go to the command prompt and type "winget upgrade --all" and it will quickly update what you want. I'm not sure why it just doesn't install when you update Edge.

sorry, i dont use winget because is has issues. this means: neither nor acceptable.

i load the MSI/EXE file(s) from MS website. while edge update itself, admx with manual interception did, webview2 won't have success this time, means: in the past it did very well. supported hardware.

I get a light blue titlebar regardless of the color of anything else. If that is what is happening then yes. If not, then it is broken differently.

Mine just normally picks up the color of my taskbar, which is normally based upon whatever Windows Spotlight wallpaper has in it for the day. Since the update, it's just black lol.

I'm not seeing that. Have you tried to change the theme to see if it resets?
