We hope it will be resolved as quickly as possible. I've noticed that navigation gets worse or almost impossible with the Post-Quantum Keys that I usually have enabled (but have now disabled).

@anon Have the freezes stopped on your PC? I believe (I hope I am not wrong) that the freezes have ended.
Thanks for the suggestion but for some reason mine is actually not running at the moment. If it comes back I'll try it. I feel like I'm chasing my tail at this point.
Thans @anon I will give this a try. I kind of feel the same as @xxJackxx at the moment with all of this.
Is there a way of removing this "Profile" icon from Edge pinned to Taskbar? I clicked "Remove" on the default (and only) profile in Edge on one machine. Now I've got that icon. If I unpin Edge, then pin it again it is gone for a while, but always comes back. Resetting Edge would be my last resort, and I'm not even sure if that would work. Thanks.
unpin it again and then open its settings - whats the link to? more than Code: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft\Edge\Application\msedge.exe" ? try reghack Code: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\EdgeUpdate] "CreateDesktopShortcutDefault"=dword:00000000 "CreateDesktopShortcut{56EB18F8-B008-4CBD-B6D2-8C97FE7E9062}"=dword:00000000
Microsoft Edge (Stable) Version 122.0.2365.63 Release date: February 29, 2024 Release notes for Microsoft Edge Stable Channel: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/d...e-channel#version-1220236563-february-29-2024 ----------- Download and configure Microsoft Edge for Business https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/edge/business/download
I just updated Edge on a Win 10 laptop to 122.0.2365.63. Edge will no long display any web pages, including edge's own pages like settings & help etc. The message is "This page is having a problem. Try coming back to it later. You could open a new tab or Refresh this page. Error code: Out of memory". Refreshing produces the same page. Opening a new tab produces "Not enough memory to open this page". According to taskmanager I'm using 21% of my 32GB of RAM. Running ccleaner to clear cookies & cache etc does not change anything. I've also tried rebooting, opening in a private window, repairing Edge installation via the control panel, & running a SFC (which was all clear). No joy. Interestingly, Edge will work just fine when run with Sandboxie! Anyone else experiencing this, & if so, did you find a solution? Not sure if it's relevant but I updated Edge after restarting the computer following successfully installing KB5034843).
Thnks @Krusty I have reported it via Feedback Hub. Also posted on Windows 10 Forums. You're the only one to have responded reporting the same issue (no responses fullstop, so I was wondering if it was just me). There's nothing on reddit or on MS Answers (yet). I haven't updated Edge on my other laptops to check, but I daresay they'll update in the background at some point automatically. In the mean time I'll just use FF & Chrome.
People are reporting the same issue in Tenforums & Elevenforums now too @Krusty . I have just tried updating Edge on an old Win 10 laptop I never use anymore, without installing KB5034843 first. Edge was broken after upodating on that one too. So this rules out a Win 10 issue & an OS build issue. Seems it is a 122.0.2365.63 issue only.
Add me to the out of memory group. Just one more reason I will be using Firefox over Edge 99% of the time.
UPDATE!! Nails89 on this thread relates this issue to "enhanced web protection" being enabled in privacy settings. I have this enabled, as well as strict instead of balanced. I can't load the settings page & don't really want erase my settings & data by altering my Edge user folder in AppData as per the linked suggestion, so instead I downloaded a batch file from option 4 here (since I can't load settings): https://www.elevenforum.com/t/enable-or-disable-enhanced-security-mode-in-microsoft-edge.12727/ This worked! Edge will open & work as normally. However as stated on the tin, it greys out some of the security options in settings, so you cannot alter them. I then tried downloading the batch file in option 5, which resets it to the default setting of being back on. Broken immediately after installing this. I can recreate this, so clearly in my case, the breakage relates to having ehnaced web protection enabled. For others with a working version of Edge 122.0.2365.63 - do you have enhanced web protection enabled?
I think mine is set to balanced but I can't get to it to check. I'll just wait for an update. I wasn't planning to use Edge anyway.
I think I had mine set to Enhanced, but also cannot get in to check. Me either. I only open Edge to check for updates and update my extensions. Long time Firefox user here.
Edge won't even offer me the 63 build update. It says I am up to date on 122.0.2365.59. I am on balanced.
Oooh good. Maybe they have withdrawn it. Hopefully they release a fix that will auto-update those of us with broken installations.
Ugh. Just tried to run a repair of Edge again via the control panel, in the hopes it would downgrade me to the previous version. It was looking promising as it spent more time on "installing" than earlier when I ran the repair, only it fails with a window saying there is a newer version of edge already installed & I need to uninstall it before installing another version. Only problem is there is NO uninstall option for Edge, only a repair option. So I downloaded a fresh installation file from MS & tried that way - same message at the end. *frowns* Will have to wait for a new version number higher than 63.
They likely pulled it and don't have an update ready. I haven't known Microsoft to downgrade in these situations so we're likely stuck until an update is available. Hopefully today. I have no idea if we'll have to install it manually but if I were to guess I'd assume we will. Clearly they do minimal testing before releasing updates.
i think MS revoked the update, build .59 also here (still) available https://www.microsoft.com/de-de/edge/business/download?form=MA13FJ
