ok so my boss didnt have ANY virus software at work, we are a small business and are infected with something, not sure what... but it wont let us get into any of the every day programs we need, internet is like 10% working.. and something keeps coming up asking for a CC#... yikes. so i yelled at her and went out and bought nod for her and she said she stuck it in the comp and wouldnt load.... i havent even tried to mess with it yet... ie; going to run and seeing if it will load that way, but if it does not... are there other ways to get it to run?!?! isnt there a way in DOS? safemode?? should i call customer support? are they any good with these issues? any feedback is appreciated!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thank u!

Try using the free online scanners from ESET and Kaspersky (amongst others). You could try them using "Safe made with networking". Also try Combofix to remove the malware.

    Then try installing ESET.

    Hello jules1020,

Antivirus solutions help prevent virus outbreaks. If the machines are already infected, there is a chance that it will block any attempt to clean it by normal means. You should try what the others have suggested to clean the machines before installing the ESET software to ensure that it will not be disabled or broken once it is installed.
