    Yes, like Stupendous points out,
I too have the Paid version and suffer from this defect.
They will fix in due course. "I hope" :thumb:

Yup! Upgraded yesterday, but did not notice this shell integration issue until reading this thread.

Also have one file that Hitman wants to upload to the scan cloud, but it fails to upload. No error msg other than failed. Nothing in scan log about the upload.

    Works OK otherwise.

Ah, OK, I understand now. With your previous post you only wanted to report the old Surfright page is taken offline. Probably not so much as an issue, but simply as a news fact.
    Thanks. :thumb:

The downloads on hitmanpro.com are still served from dl.surfright.nl though.

It will be fixed soon and HitmanPro will automatically update to this version:

Has anybody else monitored the network activity of HitmanPro during a scan? Just wondering ...

I watched HitmanPro with TCPView during the last scan. HMP made 3 TCP connections total, with the first two using secure HTTPS ports, where an initial handshake seems to occur. The curious thing is the third TCP connection sends a large amount of data (over a megabyte) that is transmitted to an HTTP (unsecure) server port during the scan. What is that all abouto_O

After enabling of "Resolve Adresses" i can see that the data is sent to their cloud-server.
I had 200kb of "Sent Bytes" but i also had less "Sent Packets".
I guess, sending of 200kb up to 1mb to the cloud (per scan) is normal :doubt:

It's just that anytime I see something like that, I wonder what data from my system may be "leaking" over an un-encrypted connection, or what reasoning was behind not using HTTPS.

I may have to get busy with Wireshark and Fiddler to see what those packets are ...

Could be some file information, hashes or similar information which is sent to their cloud (to be able to classify your files)
I checked the connection and it seems to be a Microsoft Azure (Cloud) Server.
I would like to know this too

Right. I understand the need for security applications to use the cloud, but the insecure port is puzzling. I wonder if it is intentional or an administrative oversight?

So I first reported this missing feature on April 4th, and I emailed support regarding the problem on the same day. "Lisa" replied via email within two days, saying,

"We expect to release a new version for this next week.
We still need to test this new version with multiple changes to make sure everything works.
You will be automatically updated when we release this new version
    ."

It is now officially next week. No one from support has acknowledged any of the multiple posts in this forum pertaining to this missing context menu scan ability, and if it wasn't for one solitary user (me) reporting back about an email reply, all we'd have is crickets. I don't work for them and it isn't my job to speak for them, and they shouldn't be relying on me to carry their message. They owe their customers more than silence.

I regret their lack of forum communication, and the fact that my HMP program has been incapable of right-click scanning for 8 days.

Hum, you'd expect it to just roll out an auto-update, but yea, no shell update as of yet :( :( :(

I resubmitted my email to support, asking for an update as to when they will be reimplementing the disappeared shell integration. I'll post here any response that is forthcoming.

13 days with no context menu right-click scanning capability. I know, I know. Easter. Soon Christmas.

Maybe this week (if enough staff is available (shortly after Easter) to finish and release the patch)
