I've had it for several days as it was on the pre-release updates since last week. No issues to speak of.
ESET LiveGuard : https://help.eset.com/essp/15/en-US/idh_config_liveguard.html What do you Eset-users think you will do if you don't use ESET Smart Security Premium: Will you (at some moment) upgrade to ESET Smart Security Premium (because LiveGuard is only available in ESSP)? I'm curious what you think you will do. I'm on EIS.
I think if they gave it to everyone people would be asking how to block or disable it over "privacy concerns". Since they made it exclusive everyone wants it. I have EIS and I do not care about this.
I'm also on EIS and don't plan to upgrade to ESS. If they offer it in EIS in future, I might give it a try, otherwise I'll pass it.
No! It already has been shown that LiveGuard is not the equal to EDTD protection. LiveGuard has no ability to configure confidence level. Hence, you're not going to get many, if any, suspicious verdicts returned from the cloud.
Now, I am really confused as I am running EIS and I have access to the Cloud-based Protection & therefore LiveGrid...am I hallucinating? What am I missing given what was stated above about it only being available in ESSP? Have I gotten the wrong end of the stick?
Yes, the names are a bit confusing. ===== As some others posted above, I too don't think that I will upgrade to ESSP. (of course you never know what the future will be, but certainly not for now).
For days, since the upgrade, I have been wondering about this: Some modules are missing in the list of modules. I just now saw at the Eset forum that I'm not the only one who have noticed this. Here is the thread: https://forum.eset.com/topic/30102-modules-removed-in-eset-150160/ Here is the list of missing module names in English (I use the English version of EIS, on a Dutch Windows version): (I had to use the plain tags to avoid smilies) Update module: 1023 (20200701) Anti-Stealth support module: 1177 (20210913) ESET SysInspector module: 1281.1 (20210407) Web content filter module: 1084 (20210928) Router vulnerability scanner module: 1073 (20210422) Marcos replied in that thread: Hmm, it will be fixed by a module update, but only actually loaded are displayed in the list. OK, it will be fixed, but I don't want only actually loaded modules displayed. I want ALL modules there listed. Period.
Now speaking about the list of modules: I want the way back how it was shown in version 14 (and previous ones), or the possibility to change it back by myself. I don't have a screenshot at the moment (or I should restore a back-image with version 14). So, I am doing it now in text with an example (again using the plain tags to avoid smilies): It was in v 14 like this: Rapid Response module: 19122 (20211018) It is now in v 15 like this: Rapid Response module;19154;24-10-2021 Does anyone know a setting, in Eset, where you can set it to your liking (if it exists at all)?
Hi flyrfan111, No, it isn't. I've restored a backup-image with version 14. First two screenshots, from V14 and V15. Version 14: Version 15: See the difference? A person might say: Oh, that's only "cosmetic", it doesn't matter. But there is more under the hood, more than meets the eye. And, btw, the program does know how to display it. See this screenshot of a scanlog: There is more to say about it all, but I leave it to that for now.
