VM aware or not,the end result will be no infection on the "real" system.Unless people start running stuff outside the sandbox that won't execute within, then the user is protected.Even if they choose to do so there's still the protection of D+ to consider.

While I don't hold with the idea that CIS v6 will "put an end to malware infections",it certainly raises the bar considerably.

took it for a short spin.
    looks pretty similar to v5.

i wanted to try the Virtual Kiosk, it asked me to install Dragon and Silverlight.
    i said no.
the Kiosk opened and closed, then opened Windows Explorer.
so that was that for the Kiosk.

seems to work ok overall but i'm not crazy about the GUI.
to tell the truth, i'm not too crazy either about these security suites which try to do everything.

having said that, it's probably one of the best product in its class.
and the price is hard to beat.

Anyone trying this with AppGuard? I'm curious if there are any conflicts.

I'm sure its probably a great security suite, but I will stick with what I have. I don't see anything working better than Shadow Defender for light virtualization as long as it's compatible for your OS, and hard drive. I have never been infected with anything in my entire computing life that i'm aware of. I have to be doing something right. I would like to see their new suite though.

Verdict is still out. I'm still playing around with it. I think it's pretty good so far. I like the Full virt option once enabled. Not super keen on the GUI. The rating scan is also a neat feature. The virtual kiosk is interesting. Don't really need it since I have sandboxie but it's a great option.

While this thread started out with a different point then just the release of the new v6 beta, it is mostly about people talking about "trying the beta"... So, let's not run two threads on the same thing.

Additional Comodo v6 beta talk in the appropriately named thread:
