Did anyone install 1803/17133.1 and try to manually install KB4100375 from the cab file on top of that ?

After I did that in a VM (resulting in 17133.73) KB4100375 also showed up in Windows Update, but it remains on "Initializing" "forever"... (also after running the troubleshooter)

After trying again (using a snapshot of 17133.1) KB4100375 is not offered (nor listed in the history), but the Flash Player update (build 140) is also not offered...

Yes sir, I have successfully installed KB4100375 manually from the CAB file onto 7 physical systems. The update does not show up in Windows Update but the systems are, indeed, now showing at level 17133.73.

Also manually installed the Flash Player Security Update on 1803.

Now in doubt whether I should stay on 1803 (17133.73) or revert to 1709...

May I please once again come back to KB4099950 on win 7 64-bit.

How do we know whether it is successfully installed or not?

    Is it the file C:\Windows\System32\drivers\pci.sys
    Its version 6.1.7601.24056
Its digital signed date 10 Feb 2018
Is it hoovering over the file that shows date 13 March 2018 (in the Dutch version of Windows it shows "aanmaakdatum" but I don't know what it is in the English version, sorry)
    The MD5 checksum - E5A23601634C9F2F4DB1A0F6D7B3965A

    How do we know?

    Thanks in advance!

    Maybe this will help ...

    logPCI.jpg PCISYSupdate.jpg

KB4099950 checks if KB2550978 hotfix is installed

KB2550978 is an old hotfix (to fix NIC issues), last updated more than a year ago. It is not a suggestion that you need this hotfix. KB4099950 is checking for it as the benchmark to apply the registry changes. Look at the popup - did KB4099950 delete registry keys or not.

This is my W7/32 system. I installed KB4099950 before the March security-only update. I do not know what you will see if you install it before the March monthly rollup. I assume the same.

Are direct links (to Microsoft servers) allowed here?

For now: search for windows10.0-kb4093110 and 1803 and you should be able to find a link.

    Hi emmjay,
    Thanks for your reply!

    My PCIClearStaleCache.txt file says:
    Path = C:\windows\system32\drivers\pci.sys
    pci.sys file version is 6.1.7601.17514
Pci.sys indicates KB2550978 or later KBs *NOT* installed
Deleting the PCI SlotPersistentInfo registry keys...
Deleted PCI SlotPersistentInfo registry keys successfully

See also attached screenshot for pci.sys
    MS_2018-04-12_01.png

I had originally the March security-only update KB4088878 installed.
Some days ago, before the April updates, I uninstalled KB4088878, then installed KB4099950, and then reinstalled KB4088878.
This all on Win 7 64-bit.

    Thank you emmjay !! :thumb:

    PS:
I am also a bit confused about the size of both our files pci.sys . We seem to have the same version 6.1.7601.24056. But then I realize that pci.sys is language dependent and I have the Dutch version of Windows. I can only guess that the language difference is causing this, and/or maybe because I am on Win 7 64-bit and your screenshot is from Win 7 32-bit.

JB, looks like several of us are in the same boat. Never being one to do something part way, I am running 1803 17133.73 on SEVEN physical systems currently and have been for appx 10 days. I'm sticking with it and seriously hoping that these systems will start receiving regular Microsoft updates via Windows Update once the Spring Creators Edition is released to the masses. If not, I will just have to roll with the punches.

    Still on W10 x64 v1709 16299.334 here (on 3 machines).

All machines updated OK with KB4093112 to build 16299.

Currently still running 1803, but I do have a Macrium Reflect Image to return to 1709.

I have extremely long startup times on both 1709 and 1803 despite running from an SSD, so I might need to start from scratch anyway...

Anyone here have Windows 10 1703 x64 with Nvidia that had issues with KB4088825? Black screen with cursor after the Welcome screen?

kcdcq and XIII - thanks for your posts. I also have Macrium Reflect backups (daily) and can return to 1709. Since I have no problems so far with 1803 17133.73, will stick with it and wait for 1804, or whatever they decide to call it. Appreciate your input - it gives me some confidence in sticking with it.

Well gents, it appears that 17134 is now out from our "friends" at Microsoft. Now I'm wondering where I can get my hands on this one. :cautious:

You are a brave soul. I am still dubious about having 17133 installed. Let us know how it works out if you are successful in finding 17134
