    Mixpanel =

Mixpanel is starting to be classified as Malware. Emsisoft detects Mixpanel activity as Spyware.

Ok, when I load up Avira Antivirus Pro I don't even get presented with any kind of browser add ons. The program still filters http traffic since it blocks the various Eicar files and gives an alert. I think it is also still using the Avira protection cloud capabilities. It is very confusing to know, however, if I still have the same level of protection using Pro without the plugin.

It would be great if the Mixpanel issue is gone when one is not using the browser protection add on.

Υou have a better level of protection using Pro without the crapware URL checker, imo.

    Improtant News
First Sorry to someone,I have think it wisely and carefully before I doing this
I think this is quite importance for all of our users including personal or cooperate
I got the news,Avira will discontinue some or many of the current products for enterprise users
Start at last yeat there have some beta cooperate tester complain about the AMC
AMC Will be dicontinue replace by OE adding with some cooperate tools
But IT focus on the on regular users.
I must say,OE is not suitable for Cooperate users.... if like this happen!
if oe for enterprise would doing like Avast Bussiness Cloud,I would agree
but at current OE I didn't think the cooperate will like

I also receive a news from one of my fds who was avira partner too,
CEO is fully intentionally giving up all customers with more like 25-50 licences.to those small cooperation...
Avira will force on Major personal desktop
    One hints:
Professional(which was an products for Cooperate Clients) Turn to "Legacy" products line

    What I must comment:
    Are you Mad!?
    My Letter to CEO...
Started from Last year avira you just cut many cooperate products which was huge market and money source market for Antivirus industries
    Avira Linux Unix=>Focus on Consumer,Windows,MAC
    Internet Security,Avira FireWall X
    IBM Proventia=X

Avira you just put you in a blind alley.Force on Consumer Market leave the enterprise market?
Just watch the OPWAST report ,Avira market was decreasing...MSE,Avast,AVG still growing up their market
I would urge Travis to think again about this decision, leaving the enterprise market is greate or not!,
it was not a wise decision for a company or to stay in-life in this industries,
many Anti-Virus Company still providing or Extended to Enterprise solution,
even your newest competitor/partner company like Baidu,Tecent,Qihoo,BitDefender,Avast,AVG,ESET etc.
This was quite High Risk for leaving the enterprise market even for the cooperate Value itself...

Cloud is good for company,if they have limit cost or want to lower the cost on maintenance their computer system... watch recently Avast Cloud
And most valuable area for AntiVirus Market was Enterprise, they would like to pay more and get more protection, because they will love to buy 25~50 even more,Consumer market cannot earn too much because there was too much free solution today,Avira still cannot provide the attrative solution to compete with others Vendor.
On company side,Avira will just earn less,if Avira still want to grow-up for marketing or Corporate Value,
I don't quite sure why the marketing or enterprise/cooperate market leader/VP will accept this decision...

But currently OE I didn't think is good for enterprise even they will love,
    for function limited and
Avira need to create an other cloud solution which force on enterprise market,
OE Still can be develop, however it need separate the enterprise and consumer market
and OE need to provide an other clients for enterprise

Does Avira Antivirus Pro has the "stupid" launcher? How does it compare to the professional security version?

don't use the default online installer. use the offline installer instead and you won't get it.
get the av, suite ain't the best out there.

Thanks, I will try the Pro version with the offline installer later.

So the 3-user license is good to up 15 devices? Is that right?

The 1-user license can protect all my devices, sounds like a very good bargain.

There aren't online installers for paid products, offline only=

There is only one online installer: for Avira Free.

it depends where you download it from. there are still online installers and i know after i bought the 70% off deal when i clicked the link provided to download it (i already had it but i was curious) i got an online installer. so they are still out there.

only the free has the launcher forced during install. i was told all versions will have it in the future because it will be part of the lic management so it will be needed for that.

If there are still online installers, give us the link.

May the things changed since the time that you bought the 70% off deal.

    i.e. :
    a) In past, the 1-user license was for 1 device only, some time ago was for unlimited devices, now it's on up to 5 devices.
    b) In past, in Avira Download Center, the online & offline installers (for paid products) was there. Now, only offline.
    c) In past, in Official page, the option "Try for 30 days" and the download link was there.
    Not anymore.

"Everything changes and nothing remains still"

I believe you but....... I'm talking for the present, not for the past....

Not sure what I'm getting wrong, but here
you are referring to present situation or to "few weeks back" ?

it was less than 3 weeks ago so unless they removed them all within 3 weeks..........either way imo i think its great there is no online installer anymore. i hate the launcher and i also hate online installers. i would MUCH rather download the offline installer anyway.

im just hoping they dont start killing off older lic's i have a handful 1 year ones im still using up.

Enterprise, Small Business... If true, well that's their business...
I was trialing Avira Professional Security (cloud-based business version) and found it more light than their consumer product, Avira Pro, on my old rig. But since there ain't good discounts for the former, I had to take the tempting offer for the Pro version.
