    @avatar Will there be an extension in de windows store for edge? Don't like the side loading you have to do now, because you have to wait for the prompt to activate the side loaded extension.

    I was hoping I would have your support! :)
    Haven't heard back from Adguard support yet.
    Never had the issue before, and only on one machine so far.
    My secondary machine strangely still shows as up-to-date (no 'New version is available ...') but it is 6.1.309.1615 and is also on beta channel.

    I was having the problem when VS was installed, now no problem. Try uninstalling VS (just save your VS settings), if it works for you we know what the problem was.

    As for "no new version is available", sounds like a firewall not allowing the connection. I get that when no connection available.

    @Circuit Ha! Thanks for pointing me towards the solution.
    Previously I had VS set to 'Disable / Install Mode' and AppGuard to 'Allow Installs', as I always do for installs and updates.
    Now I actually exited VS and set AppGuard to 'Off'. And the update worked.
    Looks like VS could have been the issue - if it wasn't Appguard. Also one of the recent beta upgrades also inexplicably worked.
    VS hasn't caused problems before in this regard, though it could be a recent VS change. Will monitor going forward.

    As for the 'no new version is available' on my secondary machine, I also haven't had this issue before. Connected and Windows firewall is at default. Will have to play around further.

    Paul I don't think the issue of using the install mode has been fixed. I always exit vs when I install something and set appguard to allow installs.

    I am running 6.1.312.1629 RC with the lastest Kaspersky and I still get occasional BSOD's regarding netio.sys when the WFP driver is enabled.

    I actually opened a ticket with Adguard's support about this very issue and sent them 3 dump files. Now I'm waiting for an answer. I hope my dump files can help them pinpoint the bug.

    I bet it is AV. It sometimes happens when AV blocks access to a specific file or registry record.

    Check the protected users list, is it enabled for your user?

    Do you both use Kaspersky? Could you please PM me your customer IDs so that I could find the tickets?

    AG for Windows versioning

    Version consists of 4 numbers:
    {major}.{minor}.{revision}.{build}

    Major update release
    {minor} is incremented.
    For instance, 6.0 --> 6.1.

    Minor update release
    {revision} is incremented
    For instance, 6.0.1231 --> 6.0.1245

    When we set milestones, we shorten version name to 6.1R{release number} The very first 6.1 release was 6.1R1. The current update is the second minor update for 6.1.

    So, short name for it is 6.1R3
    Full name is 6.1.312.1629

    I tried to do it for myself just to check it out. No other users on this machine. Just thought it strange when I enabled it, the video would not play but sound was still there.
    In order for it to work do I need to set up another user account and use that?

    I downloaded the new setup file and when I click on it, just get a popup saying already installed. Do I have to uninstall current version or just waite for the update to show up in my GUI?

    It **should** work OK with your own account. At least I cannot reproduce it on my side.

    Could you please collect debug logs for me?

    Switch logging level to Debug, reproduce the issue and:
    https://kb.adguard.com/index.php?/Knowledgebase/Article/View/23/0/how-can-i-get-adguard-log-files

    It's just the latest release candidate has become the new release.

    However, we didn't enable auto-update for it as we're still concerned with KIS/BSOD issues.
