restore via lan from formated/new hd using restore disk

i enabled dhcp and dns on the server where the client image is stored.

somehow based on your response i sense you did not understand my question.

i have made a restore disk on the server
i am inserting the restore disk into a formatted drive on a client machine.
no windows installed therefore can not enable dhcp/dns server there.
when restore wizard is displayed choices are floppy,rom drive,computers near me,storage servers
clicking computers near displayes no computers
choosing options and change setup to a manual ip does also not display any computers

again with ghost 2003 i would use my mapping floppy to log on to the server!!!!!

what are you using to find the server,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Enterprise Disk Backup Software.

Could you please boot your computer from the Acronis True Image rescue disc and press F11 key when the "Starting Acronis Loader..." message appears? After you get the "Linux Kernel Settings" prompt, please remove the "quiet" word, click on the "OK" button and wait for # prompt to appear. Please insert a diskette into a floppy disk drive and issue the following commands:

asamba dhcp -n
asamba masters

Send us the output after each of the commands;

cd tmp
mkdir mntdir
mount /devfs/floppy/0 mntdir
cat /proc/net/dev > mntdir/net.txt
umount mntdir

Send the net.txt file from the diskette to support@acronis.com along with the link to this thread, also please create sysinfo.txt file (please see Acronis post for the detailed instructions) and send to us.

when i clicked on "ok" prompt it produced acronis true image selction screen with three options

full version safe version windows
as per your instruction i waited at this window for the # prompt for two days

please be very specific in your instruction...you can assume that i have never
heard of the internet or know what a pc is

please keep this in mind when giving explicit direction on how to do something!!!

i took a wild guess and clicked on full version for kicks which brought me to the / # local, inserted commands from above , but nothing copied to floppy on a drive so here we are , going this rate i think i will need a demo extension encompassing 365 days, 14 days demo period at this rate will be gone soon.

i will do so for the second time, i will have to go through all the steps again.
there may be an alternative way to do this vs. having your customer
endlessly wait on a response on communicates tha thei send you or vice versa
to
attach a autoscript that would generate a follow up prompt to send and answer to email that was send but never answered.
if you had not said anything about not receiving the email just think you and i could be sitting here eighty years from now..just a thought to
commercially manage online service tickets ie "otr" (-:

If you send the output using the "Reply" feature of your e-mail client (or web interface) it will be delivered straight to the person who is investigating the problem thus making the whole process easier and faster. As soon as Max gets your letter he will be able to investigate the problem. Please let me know when you send it so that I could check that there is no problems in e-mail delivery.

second i noticed, since my last post, a gazillion new troublesome posts in this forum not including the direct email support, is this product in beta mode obisouly for a $1000.00 a pop

As for the phone support, you may contact sales@acronis.com concerning purchasing either per-incident or maintenance phone support. However, in your case it dosn't looks like the phone call will change anything. The files you sent must be analyzed by our Development Team to find out the reason for the problem. This will allow us to find the solution.
