I don't know if here are any avast! users, but if they are this program might come in handy :)

Main goal of avast! External Control (AEC) is to give you maximal control over avast! Home Edition or avast! Professional.

AEC features give you ability to clean your PC even on hardest infections, when you are not able to start avast! antivirus due to malware that disabled it. You can also quickly (fully) restart all avast! components without need of restarting whole machine, perform On-Demand scan externally, scan resident memory for malware, update both core and virus definitions externally plus many more cool features/tweaks. For full description of all functions, please read included readme file. If you have any other question, feel free to mail me (or ask here or on official avast! forums)

Hope it will help all avast! users :)

Nope,my site is operational and on-line. My host is very reliable,if the page is not accessable, the problem is most probably in domain.

Wow. I must say, that looks like a cool program.

Now if Alwil ever adds heuristics to the on-access and on-demand scanners, I'll be happy :p

(Yeah, I know that heuristics aren't everything. But they can be very handy...)

VaMPiRiC_CRoW,i'm not sure about registry entries since those were tested with 2004 only. Some of them will be removed since they are similar for all Norton Antivirus version, but some specific might remain. Files are fully deleted for all versions of NAV. In fact you cannot do any harm to your machine if you use it on NAV2003. Only problem might present Virtual Dos Driver used for scanning DOS applications. avast! uses the same registry entry as Norton, just with different DLL library and if you clean with this one it might couse some conflicts or errors. I recommend that you uninstall all antivirus programs before cleaning NAV. After cleaning you can install desired AV product (avast! doh :) ).

After extensive testing i managed to fix it(at least it was working for me). It appears that i have typed one letter more then it should be in variables. Also these variables were too long (i encountered the same problem before in avast! Main Control module).

Use Smart AutoUpdate and please report if its working ok now.
    Thanks

Now the "Suppress Update Error Box" works, but the "Use animated icon tray" when I start the avast! Tweaker is always unchecked...
