    Hi

yesterday windows 7 did warn me about updates

    3 critical update

    1 is disabled

but is it normal? i mean the disabled patch?

is normal that windows 7 kb2807986 is disabled

This is an indication that the "safest" approach is to install the marked updates first and leave KB2807986 to be installed after the others.*

However, such approach isn't essential and selecting all of them to install won't "normally" cause any issue (that's why you can, if you want, manually select it together with the others).

Now, to know more about KB2807986 (and any other important updates exhibiting this "weird" behavior of being deselected while others are selected), you have to read the support pages of the updates in question.

    For KB2807986 it's http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2807986.

*There you can see the relevant info that really clarify things:

Because of the known issue (see the previous quote). You have to manually select it (or leave automatic updates enabled and it will eventually get installed automatically).
