Security software that has lifetime licenses

Just curious what are some security software that have lifetime licenses?

But it's too old to continue and I'd like to know if there is anything new out there.

Isn't Appguard planning to charge to upgrade to version 4 ? That's not a lifetime license in my eyes.
I bought a " lifetime " license for Roboform, meaning I could keep version 6, but not have version 7, which would not work after firefox updated.

I bought a license for Appguard, but there may come a time when updates for version 3 will cease. and an upgrade necessary.

Upgrades might be paid but version 3 will never expire. That's lifetime in my eyes.

You do not know that version 3 will be updated, in the future. It won't expire, but if it;s not updated it will become a security risk.

there are 2 kinds of licenses which are considered lifetime, one is where the license that you bought would be valid for all future versions of the same program by the developer like SBIE, Winpatrol......another is a kind that would continue to work on the system but the latest version needs paying for like appguard,defensewall.

well when you compare it to a traditional AV it can,as it most of it stops protecting the system after the year or 3 has expired.

but true lifetime license is the one that is perpetual.

The only lieftime licenses by a big corporations are Outpost firewall Pro by Agnitum and perhaps malwarebytes and deepfreeze as well has a lifetime license (confirmed it with faronics)

most of the others are by individual developers.

I think and i hope most users on wilders will agree that the lifetime license is a bit of a risk for the developer as one can never know when the software reaches the saturation point.

Deepfreeze? Reallly? I would love to buy lifetime license from them. Do you know where I can get it? I looked all over their website but everywhere it is 1 year subscription.
As for definition of lifetime, I 100% agree. However for the purpose of this thread I would like to be more loose about what is lifetime and what is not. Obviously AV software with 3 year license is not a lifetime. After 3 years the product is useless. But app guard which will get updates for 3 years and then work quite well afterwards is in loose terms a lifetime license. I think it is safe to say you would agree with me on this.

Yes deepfreeze does have a lifetime license,but license terms are closely related to appguard and not sandboxie,so your perptual license will be working forever after the one year period expires.

Vipre is not lifetime. It's for the life of your PC, which is very different, since if tomorrow a power surge fries your motherboard or you swap it, the life of your PC is over.
