Does anyone know the current status of DiamondCS? I bought an unlimited commercial license ($149USD) a couple of weeks ago, and although they sent me an automatic receipt (and were happy to take my money), I've still received no activation key and multiple emails to support (via email and web) have received no reply.

I searched for an answer on this prior to posting, and although I saw a lot of buzz about the company, I didn't see anything about their current state. That's cool if they want to shut down operations, but I found it surprising that they'd take money but not even provide activation keys. I guess my only alternative is to file a paypal dispute?

g247, as per this announcement, the DiamondCS support forum once hosted here, was closed at the end of 2006. Perhaps it's best to follow Paul Wilders' advice:

Wayne (the owner of DiamondCS)(or someone posing as Wayne) returned to this forum for one day on May 1, 2008 after a long hiatus. Wayne said he had been in a car accident and that was the reason for no updates to ProcessGuard for almost two years at that point. Both Gavin Coe and Jason Annice had already left DiamondCS. The whole affair seemed very dubious and I dropped ProcessGuard.

No need of being sad. There are much better HIPSes nowadays.
Just painful for customers which have already paid and are waiting for their bought product now...

File a dispute asap. I had the same thing happen to me. You will not hear a thing back from Diamond CS, nor will Pay Pal. You will get your money back thru pay pal.

The money i had paid was returned by PayPal, since they did not deliver.
i think it is very strange that PayPal still accepts payments for this party.

A sad story, DCS was great in it's days.

How is it possible that the website is still worked on,
'MERRY CHRISTMAS! Looking for gift ideas?'
But over the years more and more customers (like me) have to get their money back via PayPal ?

Many thanks for all the warnings here. I have been a very happy Diamond user with ProcssGuard being the last thing I purchased. I was upset when they first went out of business a couple of years ago but basically satisfied with my products. Lately I have been considering upgrading to a new version of ProcessGuard especially since I got an indefinite licese for upgrades when the company was folded. I guess I am out of luck. Pity - they seemed to have it all together once!

You can still get the free version of Process Guard around. You just don't seem to be able to get a licence for it so you can enable all the options. Too bad. I run Process Guard free on one of my VM's and it does a really good job.
