Those members running Avast and Prevx ; do you enable both the web HTTP shield of Avast and SafeOnline?

To Joe; would you recommend disabling one of them or in your opinion would they complement each other?

Provided there aren't any physical level clashes (and I'm unaware of any), I think they will probably be good complements to each other and always recommend a "defense in layers" approach :)

Avast Web Shield and Prevx Safe Online run fine on my box, however when I specifically ask Avast to scan my computer it switches off Safe Online (Green Tag becomes Blue Tag). A reboot resolves the problem and everything is fine again.

Had some browser freezers with this combination over the last week; uninstalled the Avast web-shield and all fine now.

Could you send a scan log to report@prevxresearch.com? In the event it is due to a clash between the two, it may be fixable from our database.

    Thanks! :)

    Scan log sent, Joe.

Thanks for the log :) I've fixed a handful of possible areas where Avast+SafeOnline could have been clashing. If you run another Prevx scan, it should work better together now :)

Let me know if you find anything else!

Joe, the log sent was when I had Avast listed in the Overrides.

Do you want another log file with Avast taken out?

No, that's fine :) Prevx still scans the files, it just doesn't report them/send them to the database but they are included in the log.

I haven't had any issues, but I keep Avast Web Shield set at normal and Prevx settings at default. I also keep Avast updated, esp. with all their recent issues and they have been putting out a lot of updates recently.
