This paragraph appears on the Arcnois web site:
"Please log in to your account and visit this page to be able to download the plug-in. You will also see detailed instructions on how to create the BartPE CD with Acronis True Image plug-in included.."

Could someone point me to where the "page" is that is describes the "detailed instructions? Arcnois makes it sound like they have this information on their web site and not pointing to www.nu2.nu/peBuilder?
    Thanks...

The BartPE plugin you should be using is the one that come with your installation file. You have to do a complete install to get the plugin copied to a folder on your HD.

The plugin that was on the Acronis site was for TI8 which didn't have it bundled with the distribution file and I believe it still is (but can't say for sure).

Can't help with the location of any Acronis detailed instructions but nu2 covers it.

    Thanks for the post:
I've been pouring over the nu2 getting started and have to figure out now what drivers I need to find and how to include the bartPE folder that was installed with my copy of TI10.

Another question about TI and BartPE. I'm usung TI 9.0 Home witg BartPE and it's really great. But when I try to change the media (DVD or CD) from wich BartPE was startet, TI hangs. Do I need a secinf DVD-Drive to restore from DVD with BartPE and TI 9?

    ealger,

There is a Help folder in the Pebuilder that you install. Each plugin subfolder also has its own help. Everything is simpler after you install Pebuilder, browse through its folders and grasp the logic of it. Until then it may seem intimidating.

But you do need a Windows installation disk with at least SP1. If you do not have it, see the section about slipstreaming on the nu2 site.

I built the BartPE CD for fun since for me the regular TI Rescue CD works; therefore I have no experience with it in real application. But when I tried it out I observed that the BartPE CD must stay in place all the time for the applications to run. I couldn't even exit Bart and shutdown if I retrieved the BartPE CD just prior to that last click.

So, it would seem to me that you are right - you would need a second DVD drive to restore from DVD with BartPE.

Unless someone has found a better solution ...

Or build your BartPE installation on a USB thumb drive instead of a CD.

i'm new to bartpe and the documentation is pretty sparse so i need help in getting the dd10 and ti9 plugins into bartpe. when i go to add the plugin in bartpe builder, it prmpts for a cab file. i don't see that in my dd10 directory. where is the plugin and how does one get it on to the boot disk created with bartpe?

I would recommend using the plugins by Mustang http://www.mechrest.com/plugins/. Download the zip file and extract in the plugin folder created when you installed BartPe. Then run the the TIH9-Get_Files + Lic.cmd file. Read the TrueImage9.htm or DD10.htm files for help. I don't use DD10 but Mustang's plugins for TI work great with BartPe. Then run PEBuilder from the directory where you installed BartPe. See http://www.nu2.nu/pebuilder/start/ for detailed instructions. You might also want to consider using this highly customized version of BartPe http://ubcd4win.com/. This is what I use and it has very detailed build instructions on the site. For general BartPe questions you can post here http://www.911cd.net/forums//index.php?showforum=30.
