I wonder how many will reply to this thread saying that they still won't trust this. :D BTW, thanks for the share, but I wonder why do they need to integrate the Antivirus with their SystemCare :cautious:

Actually their job is to make the system light by cleaning the Pc..
Not making the Pc Bloatware by using Bitdfender as their engine!!!
They are going in the wrong direction!!!

if it has bitdefender's av, then its a bloody good free alternative.
But the success shall be in its implementation.

There are two free Bitdefenders in the market: Roboscan and ZenOK but none are yet good. Lets see...:doubt:

Installation is very easy and without reeboting the system...program is ready to use at once. It's not to heavy during real-time protection

    edit:
At this time ASC+AV is free (it has all features of paid ASC Pro), but looks that not always

Since they were "exposed" of taking MBAM db I wonder why a company like Bitdefender would license their engine to them. Surely they should have some sort of company standards of those who want to use their engine.

Giving it a try only to see how BitDefender is incorporated in it & if the BitDefender databases is limited like in other licenced products.

Is it going to be free on final release?

Tested it with quite a lot zeroday malware.

Compared the detection with latest BitDefender Antivirus. The detection seems the same as BD latest.

RealTime protection seems little buggy. Few of the malware it detected & quarantined were still active. Manual scan detected & quarantined successfully.

I dont know if it has heuristics & behaviour protection, the settings are minimal & doesn't mention about heur & behaviour.

AutoUpdate of VirusDatabase is also confusing. The AV module doesn't have AutoUpdate setting. The main setting panel has autoupdate option & enabled by default. The AV didn't updated automatically. Manual update on the main GUI worked fine & updated the AV successfully. So I dont know if the autoupdate option in the main settings panel is also for AV database autoupdate or not, or in this beta AV database autoupdate feature is not there.

Other things were fine, no other probs encountered here during testing on real system XP SP3 32 Bits Eng.
