So is there going to be a standalone Prevx 4 in the future or not ?

ie: without all that Webroot stuff attached.

Not sure what you mean :) It is Prevx4 actually, improved with Webroot technologies that helped us in enforcing our detection rate and global system security. All the features of Prevx are still the same, full compatbility with other security software along with a very light impact on system resources - these are just some of the key points of this new build.

In fact, with Webroot SecureAnywhere you are getting all the best from Prevx team and Webroot team, joined together :)

I hope that color scheme changes by the time the final build arrives. Lime or puke green?:gack:

One thing is for sure, whatever malware it doesn't detect, it surely will scare it away. This will certainly "reshape the security industry".:D

I hope that different time zones are taken into consideration when allocating the BETA licences, this announcement came at 5am UK time, making me late to the party :doubt:

It looks from the posted screens to be a lot more "tweakable" than 3,it'll be interesting to see how this performs.Personally I'm hoping that performance wise it's a lot more "PrevX-like" than Webroot.

Currently using NOD32 with Prevx 3.

Is Webroot (including Prevx) Antivirus compatible with NOD32?

    Thanks.

So, can you tell me what happens to my new 2 year licence for Prevx 3? Will there be an upgrade? Will Prevx 3 now be uprated to work with latest versions of Firefox and Opera? What's the cost?

As far as I know the BETA signup hasn't been closed yet - so if you're having problems registering, or getting the product please don't hesitate to contact me :)

I do have problems receiving the product, so though I just was too late. But you are saying beta signup is still open? And I receive details on how to start testing?

Oh hang on - my mistake.

I thought the product was being made available immediately, but this is just the sign up process prior to the Beta being released...

Sorry if I caused any confusion

I got the same response as Fad so then everything is fine I guess. No problem.

Where do I sign up for the anti virus only? I don't want firewall, backup, anti spam, system cleanup or any other nonsense suites provide.

This is the basic product which will be available, the direct successor of Prevx 3.
I think you can disable the firewall.
What other tools are avaible under "System Tools," I don't know yet. My question about that haven't been answered. But I don't think it has anti-spam and backup. However I guess it has some kind of privacy cleaning stuff. For more tools you should look at Webroot Internet Security Essentials or Webroot Internet Security Complete.

I'd rather not install it at all. Most companies offer a suite and a standalone AV, hence why I'm asking.

I gave a quick read at the thread, but failed to see any mentions to anti-spam, backup?

Then again, I haven't slept much today. So, I might just have overlooked it. :argh:

Anyway, I agree with you... If such is part of this product and not possible not to even install them, not very appealing. Specially, system cleanup stuff. I really dislike security apps that start to bundle such components, unrelated to security.

@ Anyone who might know ;)

What's the size of the damn thing? Does it have the same size it has been talked about quite a few times at Prevx 4 beta thread?

I also share the same feeling about the color scheme. Very.... monochromatic.

Unfortunately it isn't the same size still... it's smaller ;)

478KB for the entire product set and user interface which does not require further downloading

How come Secure Anywhere's firewall can co-exist with third party firewalls (like OA,comodo,Outpost)? Wouldn't it conflict each other?
