I have one user running 4.2.4 in which his email comes in very slow. Attachments take exceedingly long time to pull in. Incoming progress shown in bytes, not kilobytes. He is not on exchange. Using pop3 email account with Verizon. All NOD settings are default, is not integrated into system. If I uninstall NOD everything works fine. I don't want to put him back on v2.7 but I may have to if I can't determine the cause.

This is a windows xp pro system. Both links are outdated as the option screens in 4.2.4 are different than what is shown.

    Thanks anyway though.

the gist of it should be the same. Hopefully Eset will update the screen shots if necessary

I run Win XP Pro SP3, as well, the links that Cudni posted, the screens are for illustrative purposes and should reflect what you see in the current build UI.

Run through the checklist I posted here and advise, please.

I am awaiting for the person in question to allow me to remote into his system. I will report back afterward, thanks.

Looks like the problem was related to a problematic DSL connection. I had to call Verizon to have them reset the DSL modem. Things appear to be ok now.
    Thanks everyone.
