Current set up. All realtime behind router with hardware firewall.

    Windows firewall
    NOD32
    Cyberhawk
    DriveSentry
    Browser Sentinel 2
    Ad Muncher
    Realtime Cookie & Cache Cleaner

Not sure if this is going to be my setup for long. Always seem to encounter one problem or another at some point. This is why over the last year i have occasionally changed things about. But for now everything co-exists and my pc is not encountering any slowdowns.

One thing i do find is that as software is updated then the newer version can cause problems that weren't there with the previous version. This is true for me of the latest Prevx. Before the latest update - no problems. Now, unusable. This is why i can never say i'm sticking with a product. Change is not always for the best. Plus i'm always on the lookout for "something better". And that can mean many things from faster, more compatible, wider coverage of protection, easier to use etc etc.

This setup keeps my computer running quickly, no lag whatsoever:

    1) Vista Home Premium (using standard account)

    2) Router (firewall enabled and excellent encryption setup)

    3) Vista firewall (public mode)

    4) Antivir free

    5) Windows Defender

    6) FirstDefense ISR for recovery/removal

    7) IE 7 in protected mode with IE7 pro for filtering ads

 Grand Paradiso 3 Alpha build with AdBlock and NoScript

    9) Ccleaner

    10) Spybot (immunize)

    11) A-squared free

    12) All latest updates for windows, etc.

    13) Secure Gmail

    14) K9 Bluecoat Web protection (great free program)
