I hope it is a bit lighter on the system then the previous versions of Bitdefender.
I like the programm but not the impact on the system.

From the feedback I've been reading, it is. Apparently it takes a few days to adapt from your system and after that it's very light.

Every new release I give Bitdefender a trial and this year was the first time in a long time that I didnt "immediately" uninstall it, I am actually using it as a my main security solution.

2020 version finally fixed many problems that I experienced along the years, especially the slowdown caused by the firewall/web protection; in my machine it has a very light system impact and it has a very nontrusive, automatic approach.

After having some problems with KIS 2020, I thought I give this a try. So far I'm liking it. The problems I was having with KIS 2020 was the splash screen showing the program is loading took several minutes to disappear. Also my ping times increased, and some pages took longer to load. BD does not appear to have these problems.

FYI BD has a 24/7 FREE support line. They speak perfect English. Very few problems are so complex they can't trouble shoot them. And those they pass on to upper support who I've found max response time is 48 hours.

    Just "un-button" that auto-renewal.

I've using BitDefender for many years. I got used to it, it's like my family.
The only complaint I have is about the "burden" on the computer during BD updates. It lasts about 2 minutes.

Why didn't you call BD 24/7 free tech support first? They're excellent.

@zapjp - Can you share more insight on why you use and recommend BTS? Do you recommend specific seller on ebay for BTS?

First my OS is W7P64. BDTS is hmm I don't know how to describe without possibly violating Wilders TOS. I'll just say it of many is the best overall experience of any software of it's kind for me. Don't remember which eBay seller I used. Look for authorized reseller, you own the BD acct NOT shared. Member at least a couple years, over 1k fb & 99%+ rating.

I have had a bad experience with this.

Recently, BD wouldn't install properly on a system here. I tried their support, only to be informed that the reseller I bought my license from runs its own support line and that I need to route all my requests through them. The only issue? The reseller doesn't have 24/7 service, unlike Bitdefender. Means even for tech support, they discriminate on the basis of where you got the license from....

Sorry for your bad experience. I've always bought from authorized resellers on eBay. Never had such a problem.
