I'm on Firefox x64 and couldn't see the respective video.
I had to set media.mp4.enabled to False (via about: config)
to see the video with the HTML5 player.
As shown, here, ABP located the manifest file (http://ep.ert.gr:1935/vodedge/_defi.../20170127-politistiko-deltio.mp4/manifest.f4m)
under HTML5 player. With uBlock Origin, it was Not possible.
You can check for yourself. Try ABP and then try uBlock Origin with HTML5 player.

Firefox x64 cannot open the respective video without going to
about: config and setting media.mp4.enabled to False.

Then, reload the page so that you can see the video as I have already done, here.

From your posted Snapshot, you have Not make a selection regarding Cookies.
With ABP, select to accept Cookies (click on the left Blue button).

BTW, thank you :-* for taking time to examine this issue! :thumb:

I noticed that adding the command line --disable-reading-from-canvas to the target box seems to prevent the numbers representing the blocked objects in both Ublock and Umatrix from appearing. Is that normal?

    Yes it's "normal": https://github.com/gorhill/uBlock/issues/1509

No matter what flag and plug-in enabled, I can't reproduce any case of "ABP sees manifest while uBO cannot", or vice versa. I consistently can reproduce uBO and ABP seeing the manifest or not seeing manifest when both are executed in an environment with same settings, with uBO + default settings or ABP + EasyList/EasyPrivacy minus "Acceptable ads". Tested in Linux, can't test on Windows.

hmm..strange. Having configured similarly, both should report the very same requests.
Unfortunately, same as gorhill, i cannot reproduce your behavior (i do see manifest entry similar to ABP).
B/w my config is same as yours..

concerning video from webtv.ert.gr read here
    http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?f=38&t=3025867

its a matter of firefox x64 and not ublock - i could see the video - ofc ublock was turned off for that site.

maybe "media.mp4.enabled" for disablingh html5 vide support in firefox is causing this and mozilla is going to prefer html5 video instead flash video.

there exists a filed bug concerning this setting but that should not affect v50/51
    https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1230785

running opera/vivaldi without flash 32bit = no video!

On Chrome x64 latest stable version. Today I tried to update from 1.10.4 to 1.11.0 manually, as always, but clicking the update button repeatedly didn't work.

Yes, it doesn't want to update :)
If you don't want to wait, deinstall v1.10.4 and install the new version v1.11.0 from the Webstore.

    Thanks @mood
I've done that before but just trying to figure out why this condition lol. I mean if a new version is available then almost automatically it should update even without pressing the update button in the browser.

I released to 25% of users to be safe given the amount of changes in 1.11.0. Tomorrow I will increase to 50% if no regression bug is filed. Then Friday I will increase to 100% if all is fine.

Thank you! Now all makes sense.
So, on average is it a good idea to wait, lets say, 3 days to update after a new release?
It would be so nice to have a sort of notice in the browser when new version is available, unless there is a notification mechanism in-place and I haven't realized. :p

I don't think so. As already mentioned by gorhill v. 1.11.0 comes with particularly many and significant changes. This is not the case for all updates. That said, I've never run into problems when updating uB0. But I think it's a good strategy that updates with such heavy changes are applied to the users step by step - just in case something is broken. Good move, gorhill :thumb:

Note to self, never ever use hpHosts again. if my memory serves me right gorhill said something similar in the past regarding this hosts file as Steve Black wrote on his github project page

for windows i only use the hosts with ads, the full blown list makes windows with dns service extreme laggy, in special when changes apply.

for ublock it is nice to have to see what domains are blocked and if turned on and no result i know i have to change in (ver small) hosts file. (<60.000 entries). thats overviewable.

fore sure this is in parts safer when i try new browsers without ublock.

BTW, is it true that Facebook is currently bypassing ad-blockers? Because I was surprised to see ads after logging in, not that it bothers me that much, they are not really intrusive.

Yes, they have planned some time ago to show ads to people with adblockers. You mentioned it in a different thread:
