I had similar "re-activation" issues only on my Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 in the past, but not on Windows 7.
I've contacted Zemana's support and they e-mailed me a different version. Since then, no more "activation" issues.

 

1. It's not only the files in "AppData" & the driver in "Drivers" folder.....
What about "zam-shadow-copy-record.mbr" file in "Windows">"Temp" folder?

2. In order to remove the remnants, why you are not provide a a cleaning batch file/tool/fix?

3. Please note that when I'm trying to safely remove the USB with the portable ZAM, always I get the "Ejecting USB Mass Storage Device Error"

Now Zemana Antimalware is not BETA.

 

The issue reappears re-installing the stable, but the beta doesn't have it.

Hello,

I am glad that there is now an option to not load the service at start-up so you can use the scanner as on-demand only (as you can always check for updates when you launch ZAM to do a scan and scheduled scans are not used) but there is one other feature that I would like to see. It would be nice if the driver would not load automatically at Windows boot but load when you opened ZAM and started a scan, and then unloaded when the scan was finished and you exited ZAM. It would be nice if the driver was only running when you actually needed it. For example with Malwarebytes Anti-Malware (just one example as many if not most on-demand scanners only load their drivers when needed and not always at boot), if you are only using it as an on-demand scanner, the driver only loads when you launch MBAM and start a scan, then unloads once the scan is finished and you exit MBAM. There is less potential for possible driver conflicts if it only runs when it is needed.

 

Looks like cloud scanning is back and working on the portable version....It wasn't working for a couple of the last portable versions or so, that I had run.

Is there anyway to stop the upload of particular files? I can with HMP scans.

I want more control of the uploading of files from my system, but I don't see it.

I have it installed.

 

This version indeed found one self-signed root CA (by me) that I use for my VPN.

However, it also found this self-signed root CA: "Replay Media Catcher 6 SSL Scanner CA". This is from an App that I recently purchased. How can I check whether this is a problem like the Komodia certificates?
